An arrancar of blue hair rested on pile of dirt in the endless sands. He drifted in and out of sleep frequently. As he rested the sky seemd blue and sunny but awake there could be no hope for such dreams. He felt a tingle on his leg and looked down to behold a spider crawling on his left leg. The spider red with five purple dots on its abdomen crawled onto his thigh and bit through his pants and into his leg.
The arrancar laughed at the week creature's attack before falling back asleep. A shadowy figure rose from the dirt behind him with a short piece of string. The being was Slaktor. He smiled a wicked smile as he lightly placed the string around the throat of the arrancar.
Slaktor placed the ends of the string in the opposite hands, behing the arrancar's head, as he had held them in originally. The crossing strings would help in his next action.
Slaktor pulled tightly at the strings.
The string dug deep into the arrancar's throat awakening him. The arrancar's legs flailed kicking up dirt. The arrancar's hands immediately reached for the string but the string was too deep. His eyes grew wider he screamed out in pain but no soul heard him.
Above him Slaktor stared onto him with a content smile on his face. The action did not seem to even effect him. His face was as though he enjoyed watching the life being drained out of the creature like watching his favorite telivision drama.
The arrancar ceased movement. All of his limbs grew limp. Slaktor stood, placed the string in his coat pocket and looked down on his victim. He still had that grin on his face. Nothing changed about him.
Slaktor picked the body up in his arms and the spider with it. He then began to make his way out of the White Desert.

Reina watched silently as a Shinigami seemed to emerge from the sands on the White Desert. She had been walking a very long time looking for hollows with enough potential to become arrancar, or for wild arrrancar that roamed the realm. She'd been watching this one for only an hour and, though, lazy, he might have had some potential.

One thing that came to her mind, however, was that this act would break the separate peace she had with Kenta. That meant war, once more, before she had planned. No plan ever lasts beyond the beginning stages, anyway. She calmly walked over the dune. This would be nothing she couldn't handle, but she figured that Kenta would accept an eye for an eye. Unless he'd been overthrown. That would have been unfortunate, for she had meant to be the death of him.

"What are you doing here, Soul Reaper?" She said.

She had caught the scent of a male that was not arrancar long before she sensed the reiatsu, but as she got closer to her prey she noticed that the male was Shinigami. This didn't sit well with her for she hated the shinigami will all her heart. ...heart..? She almost laughed out loud when she thought of her heart which had been gone since before she became a hollow. She closed in swiftly on the presence when she started to notice a different scent and reiatsu. It made her slow slightly as she registered it. It was a female.. a sister arrancar. She hurried along. If they were fighting already she would only step in if fellow sister needed her. No sense stealing a kill after all. When she got there and looked around quickly she noticed both the arrancar and the shinigami. She had been wise enoguh to keep her reiatsu invisible to all but the keenest senses. So hoped her sister arrancar would have been able to notice while the shinigami didn't. She didn't know who the woman was since she was relatively new as an arrancar..but she had a gut feeling the woman was very important.

(((Note: Slaktor, need you to post soon. I don't like posting out of order, but I make exceptions for that when there's been ample time, such as over two weeks, to post. Nania and I will keep going back and forth until you get back or until the thread ends, so keep in mind that if you don't RP your character, Slaktor can't stop us from doing what needs to be done)))

Reina "hmphed" as the shinigami did not bother to give any kind of response. If he wouldn't respond to a simple question, he would respond to overwhelming power. She didn't have time to waste on a dead body and someone who wouldn't give her information. She absently noted something muted over the next dune, more than likely another arrancar. She gave it no mind except to wish it luck at keeping its form together when she released her zanapkutoh.

Drawing her sword, she said in a calm, reserved voice, "Consumir el Universo, Hueco Caducado..."

She released her weapon as it hovered in the air of its own power. Quickly it expanded to dozens of times its original mass, then exploded in a blazing sphere of light, engulfing her body. A moment later, the light faded and then the orb imploded on itself back into its original size while maintaining the same mass, and then even further so that two narrow eight-inch rods settled into her palms on a hinge that was strapped around her hands. For combat, they would easily flip around to give her strikes added accuracy and effect and unlike most weapons, the bloodier they got, the better. She was clad entirely in black and her physical appearance had changed noticeably

A sizable blast of wind swept over the land as her energy expanded and grew. When the cloud of dust settled she stood at seven feet in height and her body was covered in hieroglyphs and calligraphy that added strength to her hierro, making it the hardest among the Horsemen.

She performed Echoing Step to stand just in front of the intruder, and then asked again, "What are you doing here?"

She had already been in her Ressurection since she was hunting a human male that had been nearby earlier that week, but for some reason it had completely disappeared. She figured him to be dead and pitied that fact only because she wanted to kill him herself. She showed herself to the two who were talking and snarled as the shinigami continued to ignore her sister arrancar.

"Roar.." She muttered as she sent a Sonic Blade of reiatsu for the male's back. She hated men more than anything and the disrespect he was showing a sister..well..that just made him have a deathwish.

Whether she hit or not she would have moved to the side of her sister arrancar with a sonido and continue to glare at the shinigami who was ignoring their presence.

"Shall I get rid of him for you sister? Or do you wish the kill and the blood for yourself?" She asked with a quick glance to the arrancar. Since she was new she didn't know much of anything concerning her own kind.

Reina thought as she kept facing the Shinigami as he stood there making not attempt at responding. He wore a Captain's haori. Idly Reina wondered what Captain would be so foolish as to risk open war against her. Captains, however, were like Arrancar in that they were difficult to replace. Killing the man wouldn't bring the worthless body back to life and it wasn't what she was in the desert to do.

She looked at the new arrival from the corner of her eye. Reina absently noted that she had never been called 'Sister' before, but the unfortunate loss of this arrancar gave rise to a new one that showed more promise, based on her form.

Reaching forward, she wrested the body from the Shinigami's grip and tossed it behind her, then smacked the Captain with the back of her hand, making sure she struck hard enough to draw blood. Few realized how great an insult such a strike was, though she trusted this one did. He looked relatively learned despite his inability to communicate.

Reina leaned in and spoke with an ominous tone. "I don't know which is worse. A dead Arrancar or a simpleton for a Captain. Tell your Commander that I wish to speak with him in the Ruins of Las Noches in two days' time to discuss your indiscretion and the implications it will have on our truce. Your punishment is the denial of this body. It is now under my care. Be gone."

Reina turned, but did not reseal her zanpakutoh. If the Captain was foolish enough to attack her, her power would prevent him from making even a single move in the way he wished. The Arrancar Queen turned to her new arrival.

"Come with me. I would like to discuss something with you." She spoke, confident that the other arrancar would agree. Picking up the body, she walked away from the Shinigami Captain. She would need a snack if she kept up her journey.

Nania sniffed the air a bit out of habit to determine if there was any other threats in the area. She couldn't even smell a male arrancar nearby however, So she looked back at her sister arrancar and nodded while moving to follow. She looked back only once in a annoyed manner because she was not going to get to kill that man for being so rude to her fellow female arrancar.

"You want to discuss something with me?" she asked when they were a good distance away from the Shinigami. She kept pace extremely easily and looked slightly curious despite herself. She had never really had much contact with females other than humans and couldn't really call that "contact" since they couldn't see or hear her.

Though she got curious about what was going to be asked she did not, even for a second, forget that even arrancar could turn and backstab their own kind just for the fun of it. She didn't feel a threat coming from the woman nor did her heartbeat show she was lying. This relaxed Nania slightly, but not enough to make her lower her almost always active guard.

Reina grunted affirmation, but did not look back as she carried the male arrancar's body over her shoulder. The young arrancar was still very tense, something that she had always found typical. Having just come into great power, it was not a far stretch to acknowledge that there might be others that would wish to destroy it. Power was a double-edged sword, and Reina meant to impress on the girl that she did not care if she joined her following, but that she would feel the unrelenting pull toward the Sins and Horsemen as a moon was held in thrall by its patron planet. If not for the survival of the Arrancar, then simply because she was one. Reina would re-affirm, but also shatter any preconceptions the girl had about her existence as an Arrancar.

Stopping and turning, Reina tossed the body to the wolf for it to feed upon. She knew she would not be making the best case for her cause, but she was not looking for popularity. She didn't need to. "For every gesture of kindness, ten thousand acts of brutality occur. Such is the life of an Arrancar, for power comes at a heavy price. It is not a game, as some of our kind make it out to be." She thought of the Arrancar Fog, who thought the universe was his playground. "There are no glittering standards raised to glory and dominance, as other leaders would want you to see." She thought of Yukio, who believed himself to be the ultimate being and that all should blindly flock to his leadership, and the Shinigami, who thought themselves to be virtuous and right in their cause. "We disguise nothing in trappings so that you will always see that power is cruel, cold as iron or the bones you crush between your teeth and that it thrives on destruction."

Reina's voice echoed with the very essence of her being in a tone that reflected nothing but everything, and that there was still yet more. She resealed her resurrecion in zanpakutoh form, finding there to be no need for it. The sand swirled in a loose conic shape before revealing her sealed humanoid form.

Standing motionless, Reina waited for her new acquaintance to devour the body so they could continue walking.

As the blood dripped from slaktor's face he came back to the world. His own spider must have bitten him and injected him with it's poison. He never could tame his new breed. What a worthless endeavor, to have come such a way simply to be defeated by his own move... The vile arrancar had struck him something fierce and he had no means to strike back with the paralysis barley wearing off...
"Dirty move" he thought.
His body began to come back to life and his vitals returned. He was too close to the reaper's door... Far closer than he liked at least.
Slaktor decided against his better judgment to retreat from what could be a very messy situation.
His right leg began to shake as if shivers had erupted from within... then the left. The shakes slowly caused motion in form and progress was made away from the scene...
"How embarrassing" he thought "For a Captain to get busted in his dirty work"
His breathes were heavy and his skin dripping with sweat induced by the poison. He was sure no one would notice if he slipped out of the situation all quiet like.

*OCC: I hate to have disappointed ya guys for not being able to follow up sooner but personal problems got in the way. Hope there's no hard feelings Smile
