Jensen sat at his desk, his captain's hoari hanging off the back of the chair. His old coat hung from the coat rack by the door, tattered and torn from years of use and abuse. His zanpakuto spirit, Celestia lay on the sofa pretending to sleep. As of late she spent allot of time materialized, wondering about the office and causing trouble by bothering the squad members. He looked back and forth between his spirit and the sword associated with her, Wondering when he had become so powerful. He was still weak campared to some but he'd advanced so far that he'd been asked to take over squad 8.

He figured someone had noticed his fight with that arrancar, although he hadn't won, he managed to protect the town until help arrived in the form of a vizard. He very much intended to repay that man oneday, but finding him was easier said then done. It had been a long time since last Jensen held the postion of captain. The last time was when he was alive, but he would not fail as a leader, he never had and never would.

Standing up Jensen pulled on his hoari. As he crossed the room, Celestia looked up at him. "Where are you going?" She asked.
"I'm going to find kurama and parius, i haven't seen them for a while."
"I'll come too." She said demateralizing as there was a knock on the door.
"Come in." He said with a sigh. He had been looking forward to seeing his freinds.

Sorahana Satoru wandered through the corridors of the Eighth Division's building, his sandals softening the sound of his footsteps. He passed many other shinigami as he walked, some whom he knew well, some he did not know at all. There had been many changes of late. A new Captain, Vice Captain, and Third Seat had all come to their places in the period since his own inception. He had yet to meet his new Captain and Vice Captain, though he had met the Third Seat, Parius Chitose, when he had been in the academy.

I have heard good things of him. I do hope he lives up to the stories.

He had been an officer in the Eighth squad for some time now, and the recent promotion of a new Captain intrigued him. For as long as he had held his commission, there had been no one in the position. There was of course, no question of his loyalty; the position commanded respect, no matter the nature of the man that held it. However, Satoru did hope that he was a man he could relate to.

Now, as he approached the door of their new commander's office, he took a breath in, and prepared himself for an introduction. He raised his fist and rapped smartly on the door.

"Come in." Said a voice from inside, sounding a little exasperated.

A good start. I have possibly offended him already...

Parius walked. He was in a new Squad. But, that's something his new Captain didn't know. He almost laughed. Jensen is going to be really surprised. As he walked, alot of the unseated members said hi. He waved back, and even managed, to make a woman blush. He almost laughed at that, as well. He had never been into relationships. He hadn't had the time. He shook his head, as he approached the door.

To his surprise, Sorahana Satoru was there. He smiled. He remembered this guy. He helped him, a while ago. He kept walking, and shouted at Sorahana. "Hey! What's up?" He neared, and was at the door." I haven't seen you, since we sparred, with Lilia." He noticed the door open. He smiled. He bowed, and said, "Hello, Captain Reinhart. I would like to visit you." He said it, with a huge smile on his face. He awaited the answers.

The door never opened even though he had invited the person in. With a shrug he opened it. "No need to be shy, I don't bite." Celestia re materialized behind him, and said with a smile, "I do." Before sitting down and taking up the whole sofa. Jensen sighed, and Looked at the two people before him. The first was none other than parius, who greeted him rather stranglely. "I'll have none of that now, atleast not in private, parius. I'm still Jensen. Why are you here, by the way, I was just about to go visit you." He said before looking the tall brown haired man, none other than his fifth seat, sorahana Satoru. He looked the man up and down, taking in his regal stance and professionalism. He had noble written all over him, not a problem to Jensen, he'd served nobles once. He just hoped the man remembered who was in charge, although he would never say that out loud, unless it was necessary.

With a smile he offered his hand to the man. "Its a pleasure, please, come in and take a seat." he said. "As I said, you can hold off on the formalities in private. We're all just men, a hoari doesn't change that." Jensen looked around the found the pair a seat each, placing one of the unfortunates on a rickety old stole before pushing Celestia up on the sofa and sitting beside her. "I'm sorry, My spirit seems to think she can do what she likes, so until i get some proper chairs one of you will have to suffer. Maybe she can make herself useful and go find Kurama or My vice captain." Celestia just smiled and curled up her legs, with no intention of moving. Sighing, Jensen looked at the pair before him. "Can I get you a drink maybe?" He asked.

Satoru turned to see Parius walking towards him, and smiled in surprise as he approached, shouting a greeting down the corridor.

"Good day to you, Parius. It is a pleasure to see you again, my friend. It has been too long." He reached out and gently slapped the other man's shoulder as he came within reach, still smiling warmly. Since Parius had assisted in his successful attempt at learning his sword's name and shikai, Satoru had a great deal of respect and liking for him.

As he greeted Parius, the door opened, and a voice spoke. "No need to be shy, I don't bite." There was another voice in the background, that he could not quite make out, as Satoru turned to face his Captain, bowing, before gesturing apologetically. "I am sorry sir; I was a little concerned that you may not want to see me." As Parius also bowed to their Captain, he spoke with familiarity, and Satoru realised that they knew each other already. "Hello, Captain Reinhart. I would like to visit you."

Jensen seemed a little annoyed at the formality, as he replied. "I'll have none of that now, at least not in private, Parius. I'm still Jensen. Why are you here, by the way, I was just about to go visit you." He turned to face Satoru, and Satoru could tell that he was under scrutiny. Holding himself straight-backed and proud, he emanated, as always, a noble atmosphere, although it would have been inappropriate to let his circumstances affect his relationships with other officers.

"It's a pleasure, please, come in and take a seat." Jensen said, holding his hand out to shake, which Satoru did. "As I said, you can hold off on the formalities in private. We're all just men, a hoari doesn't change that." He inclined his head, and smiled graciously. "Thank you... Jensen. I'm sorry if it may take some time for me to get used to calling you that, rather than 'Sir'."

As the Captain offered them seats, Satoru took the less comfortable one straight away. It would be improper for him to take liberties with an officer senior to him, after all. Jensen spoke again. "I'm sorry, my spirit seems to think she can do what she likes, so until i get some proper chairs one of you will have to suffer. Maybe she can make herself useful and go find Kurama or my vice captain."

Shaking his head, amused, he replied. "Please, do not worry; it is of little consequence." He nodded hesitantly, not wanting to be rude, as he was offered a drink. "If it is alright, I would quite like a cup of tea?"

Parius laughed, at Jensen's irritation. "Alright then." He smiled, at Celestia's comment. Anokoku's voice rang out. "Try it." Parius laughed again, before coming in. "It's a suprise." He said, at Jensen's asking why he was here. Satoru took the uncomfortable seat,. Parius just leaned against the wall. He looked around the office. "No homework yet? I thought they might take some pressure off of Riku." He smiled again, as Celestia refused to go get Kurama. "Jensen. I never expected your spirit to be....as lazy as I am." He said, with a chuckle.

He looked at Satoru. "In case you were wondering, me and Jensen here have known each other since the Academy. Plus, I owe him alot. He helped me, when I became a Vizard." Parius didn't mention Jensen's Hollowfication. It was his story, and he would tell it. "Hmm, well, depends on what you got." Parius said, at Jensen saying about drinks. He sat back, and awaited his response.

"Aye, no problem, Sorahana is it? I've heard of you before, and not while i was reading trough your profile. You are the man who trained with our little friend Lilia, am I right?" He'd heard all about that from her, the girl loved to talk, She'd likely go crazy if he heard him use the word little in the same sentence as her name. Jensen's face paled when Parius mentioned Work. "I just finished actually.... I don't expect that will last."

Parius commented about Celestia and her Laziness to which she replied with a terrifying look towards Parius. "i wasn't joking about biting, parius."
"Don't mind her. It's fine anyway, I'm sure saito will turn up when he's ready and Kurama is probably busy." Standing up he crossed the room to a small fridge and switched on a kettle while he was up. "Well, I have the usual beverages, I know what you want though." He said to parius tossing him a bottle of honey mead. "I don't drink saki, if you recall." He leaned against his desk as he waited for the kettle to boil.

As he did he looked once more at Sorahana. "I don't understand why a man such as yourself is only a 5th seat. Your allot stronger than the title deserves." He paused to consider it. He knew third seat was taken, but had no idea who because it just happened recently and he hadn't heard a word from anyway, or even received the profile, it was as if some one was hiding it from him. but.... "The fourth seat position is open, you should consider applying, although it makes no difference, if you do or not, you already know my view on titles."

The kettle boiled and Jensen asked Sorahana how he liked his tea. Once finished he passed it to Sorahana and sat back down. "Well, While we wait for parius to spill his little secret, tell me a little about your skills, sorahana. 8th devision is the reinforcements devision, there are allot of different warriors in the squad, and i'm not the best person to be dealing with kido, or stealth." He had read up on the man, but he wanted to hear it from sorahana, not a piece of paper.

"Aye, no problem, Sorahana is it? I've heard of you before, and not while I was reading through your profile. You are the man who trained with our little friend Lilia, am I right?" Jensen said, and Satoru noted the use of the word "little", which implied a casual familiarity. "That is correct Sir. She helped me to learn my Zanpakutô's name, in fact, as did Parius. Without her, I imagine it would have taken me a lot longer to learn."

"In case you were wondering, me and Jensen here have known each other since the Academy." Parius said to Satoru, whose curiosity about the others' friendship was evident. "Plus, I owe him alot. He helped me, when I became a Vizard." Satoru raised an eyebrow slightly, realising that there was more to the pair's relationship than there seemed.

Choosing to ignore the banter between his Captain's zanpakutô and Parius, Satoru looked around the room, taking in his surroundings. As he did so, Jensen stood and crossed to a fridge on the other side of the office, putting on the kettle and taking out a bottle of honey mead, which he threw to Parius.

Once again, Satoru came under scrutiny as Jensen waited for the kettle to boil. "I don't understand why a man such as yourself is only a 5th seat. Your a lot stronger than the title deserves." Smiling slightly at the compliment, he gestured with his hands out to the side in an open posture, implying he had been asked the same question before. "I just think it would be better for me at the moment to stay in a lower position, until I have settled in a little more." He clasped his hands in his lap, interlacing his fingers as Jensen spoke again. "The fourth seat position is open, you should consider applying, although it makes no difference if you do or not, you already know my view on titles."

Smiling again, his dark brown eyes showing his slight amusement, Satoru shrugged. "I was considering applying for the position soon, maybe in a couple of weeks." As he finished speaking, the kettle boiled, and Jensen asked him for his preference. "Just milk please, but not too much." Thanking the Captain as he handed him his tea, Satoru sipped it slowly, savouring the taste.

"Well, While we wait for Parius to spill his little secret, tell me a little about your skills, Sorahana." Jensen said. "8th Devision is the reinforcements devision; there are a lot of different warriors in the squad, and I'm not the best person to be dealing with kido, or stealth."

Taking another sip of his tea, Satoru pondered where to begin. "Please, if you don't mind, call me by my given name, Satoru. I am far older than I appear. I have walked this world for over fifteen hundred years - for most of that time, I was nothing special, just a normal man. Even when I was inducted into the Sorahana clan, I still had no powers. I have had to survive by my swordsmanship, my experience. Over a millenium of practice have made me a master swordsman." He paused, to take another sip of his tea.

"My speed was legendary even when I lived in Rukongai, and while I am not physically the strongest, I make up for that with swiftness and experience. Kidô-wise, I prefer to use bakudô, and so my hadô has suffered a little as a result. My Zanpakutô makes up for that though, so I do not resent my lack of spellmanship. I try to be as balanced as possible, so I am working on my weaknesses - specifically, my hakuda, and kidô."

He finished with a grin. "Was there anything else you would like to know?"

Parius smiled at Celestia. "Ok, no more. I have no intention, of being bitten today." He caught the mead, before looking at Jensen. "I think it might be a little early. Ah, what the hell." He said, taking a drink. He smiled again, when Jensen mentioned his little secret. In the mean time, he just stood there, and took another drink. He listened to Jensen and Satoru, for little bit, before moving off the wall.

"Ok, Jensen. You wanna know why I'm here, yes? Well, I've heard you had a new Third Seat. And, I'm pretty sure the report hasn't come in, saying who it is." He stopped, seeing if Jensen would figure it out. After a few seconds, he continued. "I came, because I know who your Third Seat is." He smiled, and bowed, once again. "Parius Chitose, Third Seat of Squad 8, reporting for duty"

Jensen listened to the man, nodding. He like him already, and smiled as he finished. "No that's enough. I think you'll fit in here, Satoru." He said before looking at Parius who finally gave up his secret. Jensen looked at him for a second before giving a big smile. "Well damn, you just made my day Parius." He said. "Parius wasn't the only one who had help getting trough hollofication," he said looking to satoru. "He practically saved my life after Kurama, ah, another good freind of ours who you'll likely meet soon, yes, after Kurama helped defeat my inner hollow, A story for another day."

Jensen paused, looking between his two comrades. Once saito arrived he would have to bring them to the training field. He knew what parius was capable of, although his friend had evidently gotten stronger, but he would like to test the other two, and let everyone get familiar with each other's fighting style, and sparring was of course the best way to do so. He said as much to them before moving on to more important things.

"As I said earlier, the reinforment devision has divisions within itself. Warriors to fight, and defend, stealth and kido. Now, the best way to handle all of this is to divide into groups, with each of us at a head of the section. So Satoru, i can safely say your the best to take control of the kidoushou reinforcements, and seeing as you've had prior experience with division 11, Parius, i'll put you in charge of that section of reinforcments. I'll take command of rhe reinforments for squad 13, and well i guess saito will deal with the stealth members. Essentially you'll be relaying my orders and can take command of the reinforcements i send out. Simple enough, again something for later, really."

Taking a deep breath he sat down, and waited to see how the pair reacted to his decisions.

"No, that's enough. I think you'll fit in well here, Satoru." Jensen replied. Satoru smiled gratefully, and sipped his tea as Parius revealed that he was the new squad Third Seat.

At least I have managed to make a good impression.

Indeed. You are putting yourself across quite well, Satoru. I wonder if you will showcase your particular talents soon - your Captain seems like he knows how to test a man.

"Parius wasn't the only one who had help getting trough hollowfication." Jensen said to Satoru. "He practically saved my life after Kurama, ah, another good friend of ours who you'll likely meet soon, yes, after Kurama helped defeat my inner hollow, a story for another day." Blinking in surprise, Satoru set his cup down on its saucer and stroked his chin thoughtfully. "So you are both Visored then? Fascinating." Jensen laid out his plans to go out to the training field and spar to assess their abilities, and Satoru chuckled to himself. It seemed he could not go anywhere without having a spar. Of course, the Captain was right; it was by far the best way to get comfortable with each others' fighting styles, and to know the capabilities of your allies was of great importance in battle.

As I predicted, my friend.

"An interesting choice Jensen. I agree that I am hardly any less qualified than the rest of you, from what I have read. Perhaps it will give me a real incentive to practice my kidô. Lord knows, I need it." He nodded slowly. "Yes, I think that would work well; thank you." He smiled and took another mouthful of his drink. "This really is excellent tea by the way."

Emerald green eyes stared blankly at the white wall; Jensen was now a captain, the brunet rose pretty fast in positions just like the fox anticipated he would the first time he met him. Although it was too fast; it wasn’t long when he was at first a student, a vice captain and now a captain. Looking back at his papers he could see that there were stacks of them just waiting to be filed. He stared at them with an expressionless expression; despite this, his mind was filled with emotion. He was glad that Jensen was captain and even happy for him, but then he was sad that now he Jensen had other priorities and angry that he was sad. He felt somewhat left out, but then again he felt as if he shouldn’t feel that way especially since they have needed a new captain for quite some time now.

The fox finally stood up, he’s been sitting there for countless hours and had finally made the decision to go and congratulate his friend. Despite how he felt, he wasn’t much of a person to say his feelings and therefor was pondering on what to say to him. His ears perched back flat as he walked, he was wearing his normal uniform with his oversized long sleeved jacket. His bell rang softly as he slowly reached the eighth division. He made a slight pause as he reached the closed doors to the captain’s office, lifting a hand to knock on the door he heard talking that caused him to stop midway from knocking. He listened to the conversation slightly weary, he slightly smiled towards himself. It was amusing really; the three that were once students were they friends, but they were also in the same division.

There was another reistu that he felt before; (In the Halloween event) which he knew as Sorahana Satoru Jensen’s fifth seated member. Kurama face soon faded into a frown as he recalled that he was Jensen’s seated member; it wasn’t as though Kurama was jealous about positions, he was more afraid of Jensen letting go of their friendship. Jensen was like…

The fox’s eyes suddenly bolted open as he realized that he had been suppressing his reistu; he didn’t remember when or why he did it and so he released it letting the three in the room feel his presence before he knocked on the door. After hearing a response the fox put back on his normal everyday face as he entered the room. “I honestly hope that I’m not interrupting anything.” He said with a smile as he waved. “Oh are we toasting to the new captain of squad eight?” he asked sounding a bit amused.

Saito woke up with a smile today he was going to meet his captain. Saito was happy he would maybe be able to gain power by training with the captain. Saito had a whole lot of things that were running though his head but he needed to hurry and get to the captains office. Saito went over and put his lieutenant cloths back on. He picked up his zan and ran out the door. Getting to the squad 8 building and the running in. Saito had been over the squad for some time but it was time he gave it up. Saito swore to himself he would gain the strength and become a captain one day.
Saito found himself in front of the door, the door that the captain was behind. Saito was so nervous but ready. Saito knocked on the door and walked in. With a smile saito looked up seeing a familiar face in the room. Saito found himself looking at jensen the shinigami that had helped him gain his shikia. Saito ran up the jensen and looked close to make sure it was him. "haha it is hey jensen long time no see it has been a pretty long time you know seeing iv been out of the academy for some time." Saito turned and saw parius they hadent seen each other in a while either. The other two saito did not really know but he knew one was the 5 seat in the squad 8.

Parius smiled, as he had apparently made Jensen's day. "It's what I do." he said, moving back to the wall. He listened, to Jensen's orders. He smiled. He had been put in charge of a section of reinforcements. "I'll do my best." He said, nodding at Jensen. He also was smiling, because they were going to spar. He looked at Satoru. "It'll be fun. I saw what you can do, when I helped you, with your Shikai. But, you've never fought me. I won't make it easy on you." Parius laughed. "But, I won't try to hurt you, either." He took Anokoku, and looked at his blade. "Ask Jensen. I'm not a pushover. Almost beat him, if it wasn't for the fact, I used my most powerful move in my arsenal."

Parius turned, when he heard knocking at the door, and Kurama came in. "Hey, Kurama. I don't think you're interrupting anything. We were just congratulating our new Captain." Parius took a drink, from the mead again. "Well, Jensen. After all this fun has ended, I need to talk to you, about something important." Then, Saito came into the room. He looked right at Jensen, and moved closer, almost not believing it was him. Parius looked for a second, before bursting out laughing. He laughed for a while. When he stopped, he looked at Jensen. He waited to hear what he would say.

Jensen smiled. "If you've read about me, you'll know when i use hado #4 all that happens is a puff of smoke emits from my finger, and when parius tries, he blows himself up, so in that respect, i think you'll find you more than outclass us in that respect. And there's the added advantage of practice. Oh and, your welcome." He said, turning to parius, nodding. "He's definatly not. He took a cero to the chest without flinching. Well, he says he didn't flinch, but there was allot of smoke, and i didn't really see, being preoccupied." Jensen smiled. "Well either way, he was still standing."

At that point there was a knock on the door, and Kurama entered the room. "Interupting? not at all. Come in, sit." As he spoke Celestia jumped to her feet smiling at the fox, and moved across the room to sit behind jensen's desk. "You can have my seat, Kurama." She said as she did this. Jensen shrugged and stood up himself. "Can I get you a drink?" He asked. "I was on my way out the door when my seated officers decided to visit." He said. It was likely Kurama already knew Parius was his 3rd seat, how else did the transfer papers not reach him.

Getting Kurama his beverage of choice he moved to return to his seat, when Saito stepped into the room. His vice captain was somewhat dumb struck by the revelation that Jesnen was his new captain. "Yeah, its as much a shock to me as it is you." He said with a proud smile. "Take a seat, seeing as i'm up i'll get you a drink. What would you like?" When he was done handing out drinks, he sat down on the lip of his desk, looking about the room.

Parius told him that he needed to speak in private, and he nodded. He wanted to speak to him and Kurama too, allot had happened that they didn't know about, Including his rediscovery of his bankai, although that was expected. He wanted to get a chance to demonstrate it, And figured Kurama was like the second strongest in the room. He Knew this of course, because of the countless times they faught together, hell, at one point his fox friend had surpassed Jensen. He honestly trusted no one more than Kurama, followed swiftly by parius of coarse. The other men would of course need to prove themselves, just as much as he needed to prove himself to them. Things were off to a good start, however.
