Kyousuke was preparing to leave the research and development bureau, "I will miss this place. I should leave today.." Kyousuke looked around, he was sad at that time. It was his last day in 12th division as a 3rd seat he will now be a 3rd seat in 2nd division. "Rumors also said that there is a new vice captain in 12th division, maybe I should meet him first." Kyousuke walked away and tries to find the newly appointed vice-captain.

Anz walked with a deliberate and set course a small map of the premises displayed in the lower right corner of his vision by the PATCH. He had never imagined it would work, he had only just graduated from the academy but his research had earned him a VC spot. He had been told that his equipment had been moved from his old lab to his new but still a veritable cornucopia of possible mistakes ran through his head. A light brush along his leg calmed him down a bit as Rayleigh-Jean touched his leg, the mutated black cat had two tails and three eyes but was his best friend in the world.

Anz smiled one eye hidden behind PATCH while the other looked towards his new horizons as the VC of his squad. He nervously ran his hand through his green hair, which fell shoulder length above his white lab coat. He still hadn’t met his captain had heard the previous vice Captain had transferred to squad 13 which barely had a research budget, which could indicate a difficult work environment. Shaking his head to remove the doubts he set off, bursting through the doors into the research and development bureau. Directly into a brown haired shinigami....

Kyousuke was walking then he suddenly bump with someone, it was a man wearing a lab coat, and has an eye patch on his right and beside him is a cat, a weird cat. "W-W-W-wHAT!!?!!?!? is that cat?" Kyousuke was shocked because of the weird cat, it has 2 tails and 3 eyes.

"Ow, by the way i am Kyousuke Yuuki, 3rd seat of 2nd division and also a former 3rd seat of 12th division..." Kyousuke quickly stand and looked at the man in front of him ignoring the weird cat. "...If i'm not mistaken you're the newly appointed Vice-captain, nice to meet you sir." Kyousuke bow his head in front of the man. While he was bowing he looked at the cat beside the man. "It's still weird, this cat is ...."

Anz stumbled back from the impact as the man stood he announced himself to be the former third seat of division 12, wiping the dirt from his lab coat he spoke in a gentle voice his smile unfading “His name is Rayleigh-Jean an early experiment and life long friend, but he’s a bit sensitive about his appearance I’d appreciate it if you didn’t stare… But yes I am the new VC of the 12th division Anzai Kuro a pleasure to meet you Kyousuke.” He bowed back towards the shingami whose eye’s remained on Rayleigh-Jean, who had taken now to hiding behind Anz’s leg. He frowned slightly he disliked when Rayleigh was upset however an opportunity had presented itself and he couldn’t pass it up.

“So former 3rd seat, might I inquire as to why the change in assignment? I was looking over the information and have noticed quite the sudden change in roster, both you and the former occupant of my position within a short period of time.”

Kyousuke stop looking at the weird cat, He looked at the new Vice-Captain in front of him.


“So former 3rd seat, might I inquire as to why the change in assignment? I was looking over the information and have noticed quite the sudden change in roster, both you and the former occupant of my position within a short period of time.” The vice captain asked.

"Well, I guess our vice-captain and captain had a quarrel and the vice-captain decided to leave, and me? I really want to be on 2nd division, but the captain of 12th division saves my life, so it's very hard for me to decide. even now I'm hesitating to leave but since it's decided i will now move... " Kyousuke sigh and looks sad and after a second he smiled.

Reno had been laying low within Seireitei for quite some time..trying to recover his strength from his..costly..means of getting into Soul Society..He could have simply walked in through a Senkaimon..since he knew how to make one..having been a shinigami before..but then he would have had to fight his way through the gates guards..and his presence would have been known to the Gotei 13 before he could do either of his missions here..

His strength had returned now...he had used great power by using his full hollow form to rip open a garganta outside the Rukongai..in the forest so that he wouldn't get caught..as hollow show up there all the time without being detected until they cause problems. However...as his soul was always in constant battle due to his beast and his hollow..this taxed him far greater than he had anticipated..thus his laying low.

Now that he had recovered though..he had to carry out his missions..to further his goal of universal dominion for the sake of enforcing absolute peace. First..he needed to try and find a young and open minded shinigami with potential. One that he could convince to join him..maybe even a small group of them.. it wouldn't be much to weaken gotei's strength but it would definitely be a start.. The second part would be the easiest.. to cause mass destruction and problems within Seireitei.. this would be most easily accomplished by using his mask's power to transport him to the top of the palace of remorseful sins.. the Senzaikyu. The tallest single structure in the middle of Seireitei. From there he could unleash powerful kidou and begone before anyone managed to get to him. But that was that part needed to be done last if the third part of his mission could be accomplished in some manner.

The third part of his mission this day was the most difficult..maybe even impossible for him to accomplish. He wanted to get into the Daireishokairo. The repository for ALL knowledge in Seireitei..even knowledge that was kept absolutely secret from most of it's members. With that at his disposal..he would be able to more effectively start a war against Soul Society in the near future..

Now was the time to move though and he kept his cloak tightly around him with only his mouth was visible due to the hood on it..however..his sight was not impeded because he was able to see just fine through the fabric. Just not be seen through it. With his strength returned and his cloak keeping his spiritual energy from being detectable..he snuck his way into the Seireitei without being seen. Easily done considering his abilities..

Unable to be detected.. He just kept to the shadows and kept himself hidden while he wandered through the long pathways of Seireitei..keeping his ears open for any one that may caught his interest. After a few hours of walking around to try his first mission objective..he caught a conversation of two people introducing themselves..and decided to make an appearance.

"Greetings to you..young vice-captain Anzai..and to you Kyousuke of the second division."

He had shown up suddenly. No way of detecting him before hand..so he wouldn't have been surprised if both of the two young men jumped with surprise from his words. However..as he felt their spiritual energy and scoped them out with his special eyes..which glowed red..even though the cloak's hood kept that secret from these two. He found that both had great potential..however..the vice-captain would be the one who would be least likely to join Reno out of the two..considering that he had worked so hard to attain that position..while the other was simply a seated member..much more likely to abandon it if given an offer that sounded more beneficial to the people. However..he would ask first and see if he was wrong or right.

"And amazingly enough.. I have both a deep question I wish an answer from you both for..and a proposition for each of you depending on your answer.."

At this point his eyes stopped glowing red..and he pulled his hood off and smiled wide before speaking once more to introduce himself..as that was only polite. His body hidden under the cloak..so that his stance and his body language couldn't be read at all..definitely a mysterious fellow..

"I am Reno..and I would love to hear your answer to the following question.. What does the term Peace..mean to you."

Depending on their answers..they may die..or they may find themselves in his good graces..or even better.they could find themselves working for him instead of Gotei 13 and Central 46..It all depended on them now..but if they didn't agree with his philosophy..and made it clear that they thought he was suspicious..he would have no choice but to silence them.. he still had two mission objectives to complete and he couldn't allow this simplest and least important one to ruin the other..more important objectives..that would make this whole trip a waste of time and energy.

Luckily..no one from the Shinigami had any knowledge about Reno's current disposition..and they would have to search the very database Reno was trying to break into..in order to find his shinigami files.. He had not shown his hand during a meeting with the vizard leader and human leader..thus they didn't know his plans..so wouldn't have told the Shinigami his name and to keep a look out for him..

So there was no way that anyone would be able to recognize him..and know he was truely a serious threat and enemy to all..even though from his view of the situation..he was trying to save them all.

Anzai frowned, so after all it was emotional disputes that lead to the fall of the cohesion of the squad. That was disappointing, he had hoped that the divergence in the squad was at least the result of some intellectual dispute rather then plain dislike, adding the data that the captain had saved Kyousukes life and still the shinigami intended to leave the squad, as well as the distinct lack of detail about the fight indicated that the problem may have origins with the actions of the captain himself… A grim prospect indeed. As he began to formulate a new question, which would probe for more information without seeming overtly prying, a voice broke the moment of silence. Causing Anzai to instinctively turn his body towards the source while centering his weight in case he needed to move in any direction, his hands curling slightly into the tigers palm, a defensive style of hand-to-hand combat. While Rayleigh skulked away ready to run and find others should the situation go poorly.

The man lay hidden beneath a strange cloak, even as he spoke PATCH struggled to identify and quantify his reiatsu to a scalar result. However, despite the enigma of his identity his approach and demeanor indicated this was an amiable situation and thus Anzai relaxed keeping his weight centered but turning to allow the new comer to join the conversation. The conversation seemed a bit vague at first, a nonchalant reference to some question and opportunity and still an enigma as to the persons identity. When his hood dropped PATCH went to work instantly, first noting the slight shift in the still undeterminable reiatsu levels, and of course using facial recognition software to try and identify the enigmatic arrival. The results however only added to the mystery, a single line appearing in the corner of his view.

Access Restricted

Anzai spoke first still intrigued by the puzzle unfolding before him, but also always game for a good intellectual debate. “Peace hmmm… a complex question, ill assume for arguments purpose you mean the geopolitical definition rather then the state of inner equilibrium, though it could be said the two are not mutually exclusive. An interesting topic considering we live in a society that has danced back and forth on the precipice of war for thousands of years. Further more I would assume due to the vagueness of the question that you mean a lasting peace, unlike the one that exists now constantly over shadowed by the looming specter of war.

Thus in order to establish a lasting peace, one would need to create a unified state of existence in which all ideals have hold and there is no extreme which is not appeased in someway, and thus we approach the realm of paradox, for example my peace would exist in a world where I could follow my intellectual pursuits without the hindrance of funding and not have to worry about the military applications. At the same time, another may define his or her peace as a place where he or she could fight eternally and thus the common notion of peace would not appeal to them and those with these ideals would rally against said peace and breed conflict. As a result peace must exist in several states simultaneously a paradox that is exhibited in a quantum physics most easily described by the commonly known Shrodingers cat paradox. Not to say this is an impossibility, as a scientist I understand paradox is simply a formula that has yet to be resolved… However, I believe I have sufficiently outlined my opinion and from your enigmatic demeanor, and question I can assume that you feel you have the answer to this question. So I’ll allow my new friend here to answer and see if perhaps you have resolved this paradox… if after hearing us, your still inclined to share your findings.”

Anzai smiled choosing to keep his suspicion that this man was an intruder into soul society to himself for now. Not that it was a terribly difficult conclusion to reach with his restricted file and reiatsu obscuring cloak. But, he didn't want to scare him away before he could find more pieces to this puzzle.

A man suddenly appeared in front of kyousuke and Anzai, It was a weird man his reiatsu was undectable and this man doesn't look familliar to him. Kyousuke almost saw all the shinigami in the seireitei but this man doesn't look familliar to him at all. "Peace?..." Kyousuke asked himself, wondering for a second what does peace really means to him. He was about to answer when Anzai spoke, it was a long meaning about peace and Kyousuke started to be a bit confused. " Well for me..." Kyousuke starts to speak and looked down. " Peace? Do you really mean what is peace for me? As you can see we cannot live in a world full of piece, I know that I was once a human but I can't remember a single thing about it. As a shinigami, my duty is to bring peace and balance to the world, right? But still, no matter how hard we, shinigami, try to bring peace there are still places that is being attacked by hollows...." His voice was a little bit serious, Kyousuke looked up and turned at the guy. "But, The thing is... What does really peace means to me... It is just a thing that balance the good and the bad..." Kyousuke smiled and looked at the weird guy, called Reno

Reno chuckled at the science answer to his question..then the normal answer to his question. However..as he suspected..Yuuki was closer with his answer than Anz was..to Reno own definition. Balance the good and bad..Reno's perspective worked along these lines..except he would control good and bad..causing them to more equally co-exist on a level that neither side would willingly do without his iron fisted control.

"Both are correct..yet both are views of a peace that can easily be attained. Via ones own personal peace or a view point of ones duty..Peace..in essence..is control. If one could control good and bad..to such a degree that they would co-exist in a manner neither side believed was possible..eventually given time..this..forced control would be unnessicary..but because of the immense time that had passed with both sides living together without violence..they would remain peaceful.. Perhaps this is just a theory..and there are far too many variables that could ruin such a peace..but..what if the single force driving the two sides together in harmony..never left? In such a case peace eternal would exist for all. Neither side could act in agression..therefore no violence..the very definition of peace..as it were. Am I wrong gentlemen?"

He did notice something about the young man Anz..his body language suggested he was trying to figure the identity of Reno..and had failed. Reno did not know how this man had come to the conclusion that such information was unavailable..but he suspected that it did indeed occur. As Reno thought of this..he thought of the technological advances all life has made in the years..and figured that was how it had been done..he however..would keep this too himself..his own body language being unreadable due to his cloak..and his facial expression unchanging from what it was when he was talking about his answer..smiling and happy.

"Let me ask you this then.. if you found an entity who could eventually become that single driving force that caused all of existence to be in harmony by removing agression with it's absolute power. Would you not follow it to help it further such a goal? I know I would..as my grandfather did before me."
He had lied just then..but he did so on purpose to see if either of them had a device to detect lies. he purposely allowed his heart to race just for a second before instantly regaining all of his composure..his face never changing as to make sure only a device caught his lie. HIs grandfather had not followed an absolute power..he had BECOME an absolute power..to such a degree that the whole of Soul Society did everything within it's power to end him. Until they finally succeeded however..he had created a true peace within his domain..

"But alas.. I do have other things I must do before I take my leave.. So our wonderous chat must be cut short. Once you have answered my new question.. I shall be more blunt and more direct with my last question..before taking my leave of you."

He did take on a serious face now..and ment what he had just said. Though they may suspect it..they couldn't know for sure that he was about to ask them to become his comrades and leave Soul Society..if one agreed and the other did not.. he would have to handle the disagreer..if both disagreed..he would have to end them both to keep his presence hidden for a while longer..so that he could accomplish his other two reasons for being here. Those took priority..they MUST be done..

Now he simply waited.

and oh how his mind schemed..

Anzai listened to the man, his purposed peace was far from a new idea it had in fact taken place hundred of times before throughout history. Sometimes it was partly successful and others a complete disaster. However the man did not offer an opportunity to answer, instead he began to speak of his own thoughts, of his grandfather and his supposed pledge to join this elusive ultimate power. However, PATCH could see his heart race for a moment. A smile creped across Anzai’s face the man was testing him that much was obvious. People had often misunderstood the use of lie detectors, thinking that the shaking topography of the lines, which indicated lies, lay exclusively on heart rate. However, this was not entirely true the detector did so by focusing on heart rate, perspiration and with a subjective analysis done by the examiner.

However, PATCH was far more complex then that. It of course could detect lies by measuring the heat that came from the body of the subject along with subtle shifts in the coloring of their skin as heart rate indication and evidence of perspiration rates. But it also used something else, three dimensional topography analyses. Easily capable of noting minute shifts in facial topography to determine the truths within lies, when someone normally lied they would display a moment of shame or pride hidden within a microsecond of a flash. In contrast, Reno displayed something entirely different, he displayed curiosity an emotional expression so familiar to Anz he wouldn’t even have needed PATCH to notice it. However, this indicated that the man had caught on to Anz’s deception. Showing he disbelieved the mans statement in his body language Anz hoped the man would believe he now had the upper hand.

However, his scientific integrity refused to allow him to answer the mans question with anything but truth and an experiment. “An interesting ill be it un-novel answer to a question which has been debated for hundreds of years. Yet not an idea without success, examples in human history could be seen in the work of the Han dynasty which unified the warring states of china for generations. At the same time peace followed the war filled wake of Alexander the great until his eventual death leading to a massive power vacuum that ended in countless wars as a consequence. However, as you said we are not humans, our lives are not so short lived and the possibility for peace could very well happen. However, there is also the other scenario, the dark passenger which crosses all racial divides, a unifying force in itself, corruption.

You say there exists this great power, unstoppable and with strength to unify the world. Yet history of both human and shinigami shows us that such power is extremely corrupting calling to mind names such as Mussolini, Hitler, Joesph McCarthy and of course Aizen Sosuke. If there is nothing to stop this power you speak of… How can you say with any certainty that this leader you speak of, can do what could be the most difficult task ever known? Balance ultimate power with empathy and mercy.”

Anz answered and watched, If as he was beginning to suspect this man believed himself or someone he loved to be this power and he would take Anz’s answer with an emotional response. If the response was anger, then he was facing the beginning marks of a possible dictatorial regime, however if the response was in fact tempered analysis perhaps, just maybe there was hope for this cause and this was something to watch closely.

Kyousuke looked at Anz, their definition of peace was largely explained but Kyousuke begins to wander. "What does really peace means? And what the hell is the guy doing here, Showing up like that and asking what is peace? What the hell is he thinking?" Kyousuke looked at the guy furiously.
"Hey you! The weird man named Reno, Tell me your true intentions here, why did you come here?" Kyousuke was raising his reiatsu and ready to fight, he sense that something was not right, Talking about great power was something like Aizen Sosuke. " It is impossible to attain peace with ultimate power, Sometimes your subordinate might betray you so they can obtain your power so they will able to control that ultimate power you are talking about." Kyousuke stepped back a little, waiting for Reno's response. Kyousuke begins to suspect the man from the beginning "Who is this guy??" Kyousuke's last question stayed on his mind and he is still waiting for Reno's reply.

( Just to point this out.. Aizen's incident was over 1200 years ago. both of you are around 270 ish. Being able to so quickly compare this situation to that one seems a bit..unrealistic..since Soul Society would have obviously put those files in their most secret places..not accessible to mere Vice-Captains and seated members. but it doesn't really change the outcome of this at all. Either way I'm completing at least one of my three objectives. )

Reno nodded as Anz answered the new question. This man was intelligent at least..but intelligence only allowed one to go so far without ideals and dreams that the one was willing to follow til death no matter how wrong or whatnot it may seem to all others.

"Empathy and Mercy are indeed very crucial to such an existence..for you are right..Anyone would be tainted by so much power if they were not very careful. Being able to force peace upon the people while not going on a tyrannical rampage to do so is probably near impossible..though I could think of a few ways..none of them are feasible at this time..or else someone would have already tried."

When Aizen was mentioned Reno frowned though.

"You would compare me to such a crazy man? He who sought to destroy the Soul King and all of creation so that he could mold it to his image and rule it?"

As Reno thought about that a moment more..he chuckled and shook his head.

"The only thing me and Aizen have in common are the fact we both dislike the Soul King..but i have a reason where as Aizen was just a fool lusting for power.. You are both very young..but I will ask you questions that you can find the answers to in your lifetime if you try hard enough.. What is the Soul King? Why has no one seen him other than Captain Commanders and Aizen? What does he actually do that Soul Society doesn't do for him?"

He chuckled again and looked over at the young man who was preparing for battle. It was amusing for this boy to think he stood a chance..ah..wait..Reno was still wearing his cloak..so his spiritual pressure was still under the radar..that must be why this man was so bold..

"Someday.. if your lucky.. you'll find those answers.. Maybe then you'll understand why i don't like the Soul King."

He paused a second and sighed a bit as the young man hadn't calmed his reiatsu down. This would attract attention if it wasn't handled soon..

"Well.. i see you are itching for a fight.. I suppose I must oblige you if you are that intent on harming me.."

With that he pulled off his cloak and tied it around his waist a few times and then knotted it so tight that it would have to be sliced for it to fall off. The moment he did so his spiritual pressure kicked in because it was no longer being supressed. More than likely causing both of these two boys to not only having trouble breathing..but even induce an illusion of them both seeing their own demise. This was a couple of the ways spiritual pressure could be used to attack..and Reno was not above using such means to try and scare people from fighting him.

Besides..he needed to get to the Daireishokairo somehow..and access as much information as he could. It would prove invaluable when he began his march across the dimensions..

So he couldn't afford to get caught by a bunch of stupid captains right now..

Anz smiled the man having finally tripped up that he himself had indeed been the all powerful being that he was referring to. The information brought both a sense of pride and dismay for now he had both found the answer and at the same time finished the enigma around his foe in this intellectual war of words. As he followed up by bringing up the spirit king Anz paused to reflect on the matter, to be perfectly honest he knew very little about the spirit king and had always seen him as something as a figure head, something for those who needed faith to rally to. An invisible hand that could help justify decisions that put logic over emotions. Not the worst idea for the most part, and there was a lot of evidence that he didn’t even exist since no one but the captain commanders or Aizen had seen him.

Yet as the moment came for him to formulate his response things went poorly, Yuuki it seemed had misinterpreted his probing for accusation and now was steering their polite conversation towards an encounter he suspected they both would regret. Suddenly it all went bad, the mans cloak ripped off and the pressure became unbearable Anz staggered a bit struggling to come to grips with the sudden shift in energy. His head swirled as he fought for clarity ignoring tangential images of his impending doom by running through the Taylor expansion of the Morse potential curve up to the 82nd term. With an out stretched arm he grasped Yuuki’s shoulder fighting for breath as he spoke his words labored.

“I must apologize for my young friend… it seems he lacks a certain amount of situational awareness, however I myself would like urge the lack of need for violence… after all this is just a friendly conversation…. Is it not?”

Turning his attention to Yuuki he racked his mind for a way out of this situation desperate to prevent a violent ending.

“Yuuki restrain yourself please, think… power may be corrupting but it’s naïve to think that peace can be obtained without it. You’re a member of the 13 court guardians we ourselves use power to enforce peace or did you think that 13 powerful squads and a nearly god like leader was just for show?”

Anz frowned he disliked, scolding the boy but he needed to avoid conflict and acting to appease the incredibly strong person in front of him seemed to be the best response. However, in the heat of the moment Anz was not foolish enough to pass the opportunity to record the reiatsu signature of the suddenly unshielded readings before him… He was after all a scientist.

(OoC: Sorry didn't think of that i assumed it would be common knowledge since its such a big thing in the anime... my bad.)

Kyousuke at that time was a bit stumbling at that time, he knew that he can't stand a chance from this man, he still didn't master his shikai. "Hn... I knew it..." Kyousuke smiled even he was struggling in the spiritual pressure of the man in front of him. After a while he lower his spiritual pressure and looked at Anz " Sorry Lieutenant Anz, I was carried away with this topic. But I have to agree with him." Kyousuke looked down and feel a bit lonely. "I-i-i Know that you are right but, I won't able to follow you because im....." Kyousuke kneeling down down the ground looked up and draw his sword and showed it to The man that has a great reiatsu. "I won't able to follow you because i'm not strong enough to follow you..." Kyousuke feel a little down at that time and still he smiled at the guy in front of him trying to hide all his feelings.

Reno put his cloak back on.. such a brief moment of power shouldn't have alerted anyone..unless the man who seemed to have interesting technology had already told them.. in which case he'd have to delay his plans for a small time..but would otherwise be unhindered.

"Not follow me? Too weak? nonsense.. if I sought only those who were already strong..there would be little room for growth.."

his body language was once more unreadable since his cloak covered the entirety of it..and once again his face was a poker pro worthy blank. His heartbeat was steady again and all seemed perfectly normal with him. Though in reality his body was being wracked with pain by his two inner demons fighting eachother for the millionth time.

"Come as you are..I see the potential. I know what you can be capable of.. and it is brilliant.."

He glanced over at Anzai..though his eyes were half covered by his cloak's hood this time a small hint of red could be seen from his eyes. As they had entered stage one of their powers and he was keeping a close eye on all movement near him with both his eyes powers and his reiatsu sensing.

"The offer stands for you too.. As a scientist and as a man. You have all the qualifications nessicary to help me try to achieve this paradox called peace."

Should they both agree..he would immediately move to part two of his plan..ending with part three and leaving Soul Society with his two new followers..

Should one disagree..the disagreer would have to be put down quickly so that the rest of the mission could go by unhindered..
