Zaelin had still not grown accustommed to the fact that she was now two people sharing one soul. Though..it had gotten to the point where she could manifest an image of Sharu so that it didn't look like she was talking to herself..that was about as far as THAT went. She had been used to only have two powers..the ability to physically harm spiritual beings..and her shotgun blasts..but now she had many more abilities to master..something that would require time and a partner.

"I do not think anyone would show up here and allow me to train with them." Zaelin stated flatly as she sat cross legged on a boulder waiting for someone else to show up as she practiced a couple of her new powers by levitating a rock infront of her. She had grown kind of use to the size of this rock by now..and it was not much of a challenge to start with..but she knew that as time passed it would get more and more difficult..and that strain would make her stronger..so she focused.

"Oh don't be such a downer!" Sharu said as she floated around Zaelin, "This is where I came to train all the time with Dorian. This place is great! Someone is bound to show up ya know?" She continued to circle Zaelin and dance around like a ghost. She enjoyed this non corporeal form very much. And since she wasn't truely there..she was capable of taunting people without getting hurt. So much fun.

"...If you say so."
"I do."

So Zaelin sat patiently and simply continued to focus on levitating the rock infront of her. She felt this power would be useful outside of combat..but she wasn't sure how useful it could be during combat..if only she knew the limitations to it.. oh well. Thats what she continued to do until someone else show'd up. Is levitate that rock. Granted..the rock was about half the size of Zaelin..but it was still considered a rock.

Walking was a simple joy in life these days, with all the high-tech gadgets, gizmos, and the like to occupy time with. Axis had been enjoying one of these walks, after all, she had too much time on her hands now a days, having left her life in the Netherlands, along with her only job. None of this bothered Axis however, as she loved the prospect of adventure, or the closest thing to it. This morning however had been some what dreary, perhaps it was just in the air, but the feeling could not be shook off as Axis walked in place, unaware where she headed. Her mind was preoccupied with the bone amulet, which radiated her brother's spiritual pressure somewhat faintly.

Putting away the amulet under her mercenary suit, Axis started fumbling with her white gloves, which just did not feel right today. Everything seemed to be off, as if the world had been kicked.

Looking up as she walked the path, Axis noticed a floating boulder, at the very least a big rock; not to mention what looked to be two people nearby. It struck her as odd, that there was a floating rock, shrugging it off she realized she was in no place to judge floating rocks, considering what her ability was.

Without warning or even much fore thought to who the strangers were, Axis blurted out in a kind enough voice, that had aged from sadness. Waving her left had in greeting, a slight grin on er face.

"Hello over there! Hi! Is this your floating rock? I never seen a floating rock before, or atleast this specific kind of rock, but either way! I wasn't expecting seeing other people way out here."

Stopping at the adge of a small path Kron-Axis waited, oping for a response from either of the strangers, it had been a while to see others in such a uninhabited area.

Zaelin dropped the rock as the girl approached and sighed softly though this motion wasn't seen by the girl who had come to the training grounds of the human race. Sharu however..floated over and started asking the most random questions ever at a quick pace..trying to get to know the girl perfectly in a whole 5 minutes. Though Zaelin quickly shut off that power which caused Sharu to fade back into Zaelin's mind.

She then stood up and brushed the dust off her cloths and walked over herself.

"I am training. If you wish to be of assistance then do so..otherwise I would ask that you don't bother me again. I need to finish learning to control all of my newly acquired powers."

Blunt, Cold, Mechanical. Nothing at all like the floating girl from 5 minutes ago. But you know it didn't really matter..because she had a point. This was a training ground..either help or get the hell out of the way of those who are trying to gain power. It was a normal way to think and look at this situation.

(Short post..sorry..kinda tired )

"Fine. Fine. Fair enough! I wasn't expecting someone to be out here by themselves
-whatever happened to that other thing floating around- but either way..."

Axis glanced to her left and right wondering what had happened to the second person, but gave up in the end, merely thinking: what happens, happens. though, Axis took slight interest in the disappearence and considered asking if there actually had been another stranger asking questions... or had she been just hallicnating the whole episode. Shrugging off the mental load physically Axis look straight into the eyes of the woman, a small fiery passion flaring with in Axis' soul. Practice, training, exercise, all of these appealed greatly to Kronaxis, whom had little training with her powers to a full extent.

Smiling undaunted by the stranger's cold reply, Axis simply stated she would in fact partake in this venture. "Under one condition, I will happily assist you in training but I would atleast want to know your name, or atleast a fake name if you don't want to give away your identity. I honestly don't care... but something to call you would be nice, for conversation's sake!"

A small laugh escaped Axis' lips as she moved backward a few feet for some space, and stretched her arms and legs, and the like. "By the way, I go by Axis, i guess if you want my full name it is technically Kronaxis, but I prefer Axis, much simpler is it not? Hmm?"

With a glance Axis stood up straigt ready for the woman's reply, the smirk not fading an inch from Axis' face.

Zaelin didn't really care about the girls name..though she was glad the girl decided to help train with her. Assuming she was any good this could easily become a useful match for Zaelin to gain some bit of mastery over her new powers. So..it seemed playing nice would be required if she were to get some help. Alright then.

"I am Zaelin Misana. Prepare yourself for a worthy opponent."

With that it she suddenly vanished. She didn't use blur..which was a human's speed bonus..no instead she had apparently used shunpo. Something that caught even Zaelin off guard as she came out of it far behind Axis.

However..in order to correct her over extended sprint forward..she turned around while still sliding backwards from her own speed and began to unleash bullets of energy that looked and would hurt like a bala should they connect from two guns that suddenly formed in her hands.

When she stopped sliding. Sharu..inside of Zaelin's mind.. said oops.

Before Zaelin could even begin to think of questioning why the spirit girl had said such a thing..she suddenly released a bolt of energy from her hand that haphazardly went towards axis..but would most likely miss unless axis was both slow and stupid.

Zaelin had never done that before..in fact..she wasn't sure how to trigger it yet..she knew she could do it..because of the information from Sharu that was ingrained into her head but she didn't know how to trigger it..apparently sharu had done this part for her though..because now she did.

Amazingly enough..Zaelin suddenly got some huge ideas on how to start putting immense pressure on the girl at the start of combat due tot his new triggered insight.

She rushed forward all of a sudden while taking a deep breath. As she did so lightning began to scatter along the ground ( like charged bolt from diablo 2 ) This lightning would probably cause Axis to move or defend..and when she did Zaelin would release her breath causing a wave of fire to spew forth to try and burn the girl.

After these..Zaelin's guns dispersed into nothing and in it's place came a long dual ended spear. Sharu's Soul Sword had answered the call of Sharu's spirit and returned to the battlefield. Now this was truely going to be interesting.

With a blink the form of the woman disappeared infront of Axis, causing some oddity in her mind. Not fully realizing the words she spoke would be tested so soon. Turning around quickly, Axis shifted her eyes above, to the left, the right, and finally behind seeing blasts of energy coming her way, and fast. Having little time to comprehend what had initially happened.

With a fast reflex for danger Axis used her replication skill on her ring, beneath her glove and instantly went on the defensive. Replicating the diamond in her ring she solidified her body, skin, bones, and the like, into diamond, reinforced with spiritual pressure for an added cushion. Axis' enitre body had been transformed into what seemed a being of inorganic rock, which shimmered in the light. The damage was nearly microscopic against the diamon body.

Bracing herself Axis took the bullets of energy dead on by jumping in the air, so the force of impact would be lessened. As the blasts of energy cleared Axis could only think: Sheesh... Moving back a few feet to put some distance, Axis then saw a new bolt of energy. A second attack!

Avoiding the sudden bolt, barely one might add, Axis ducked onto the ground and rolled to the left and stood up in a defensive stance. Thinking the only way she could win, or atleast cause some damage was to be up close and personal with the sparring partner. Sparks of electricity decorated the ground, and without much notice Axis charged Zaelin with full intent of crushing her with sheer weight, however, Axis moved much slower than before as her body was now that of diamond instead of flesh and bone. The electrical sparks unable to penetrate the material.

Lounging with a punch Axis' plan was to grab Zaelin and then restrict her movements taking the advantage of Zaelin moving forward against Axis.

(OOC ya kinda ignored the flames.. granted they wouldn't have really done any damage to a diamond body. but you still ignored them.. so I just kinda posted you walking through them and getting slowed for like..a second. )

Zaelin's lightning didn't do anything the first time..which was good because she hadn't ment to do it..but even the second lightning attack didn't affect the girls new form. Analyzing it with her cyber eyes she quickly figured out exactly what it was and where it came from. She could also see the spiritual energy flowing throughout the diamond to further enhance it.

However..the girl's sudden attempt to rush Zaelin got cut short as she stormed right into the fire that came from Zaelin's mouth a second earlier. Zaelin used this distraction to un-summon her spirit weapon since she hadn't ment to do that either and then stood there waiting for the girl to come out of the flames and continue with her attack.

Thats when Zaelin would have most likely surprised this person of diamond.

Because when she went to punch, her punch was countered with Zaelin's punch and they both effectively did nothing to either combatant. Zaelin's body was prosthetically and cybernetically enhanced to be much tougher than any other humans body could be. With all these enhancements..she wasn't about to be hurt by a fist made of diamond..though she herself couldn't actually do any real damage to the diamond with just her bare hands.

Fortunately..the next nice thing about Zaelin being the way she was kicked in as the two connected punches. She used her enhanced strength to push the diamond girl backwards using the same fist that had countered Axis's punch. ( so I pushed your punch backwards so much that you yourself went backwards a little ) When this occured it would be easily noticable that Zaelin's spiritual energy flowed more strongly in her fist during the action.

With the opponent being made of diamond..Zaelin could quite literally use every new ability she's aquired without killing the person on accident..since only her guns and her spirit weapon had the capability to cut through diamond. her guns only being able to damage diamond if she fired a cero. The spirit weapon though.. would be the deciding factor when the fight needed to be finished.

"Diamond component manipulated through powers..the diamond comes from a ring on your finger underneath your gloves.."

Zaelin's eyes had shifted colors the FIRST time she had analyzed the girls new form..and had remained that way because she was still analyzing it. it wasn't that she couldn't figure anything out about it. It was just that she had never seen an organic lifeform take on an inorganic form before. So she was soaking the information like a limitless sponge.

Without the spirit weapon or her guns. She didn't think she could hurt this girl at all without pushing her physical prowess..though that wouldn't be as dangerous to Zaelin as it would be a normal person. That ment Zaelin could do many things..

including the invisible force of a thrust kidou that left her finger as she once again rushed forward. Diamond body or not.. should the invisible and fast force slam into Axis..she'd go further backwards than before whether she liked it or not.

Mid-charge Zaelin did two things.

One..she cast bakudo no 9 geki with a swipe of her hand to the left causing a red outline to appear around the diamond bodied girl and deal some pain while attempting to keep her from moving at all. Zaelin's strength in kidou was still lacking severely..but she figured if nothing else it would show her how good this ability was or wasn't.

right after that she snapped the fingers of her other hand and caused several explosions all at once around the diamond girl. 9 total.. one in front, one to both sides, one behind the girl. one in all four of the diagonal directions, and one above her. This was the max limit to Zaelin's ONLY natural ability that she didn't get from Sharu during possession. The explosions only had a max radius of 3 feet..but because they were created so close to the girls body..it was highly improbable that she'd escape the explosive power of energy.

Flames enveloped Axis as she rushed through, as thoughts rushed in her head abou how some one could breath fire. However, Kroaxis did not dwell on these events, occupied by the fact that her punch had been neutralized by her opponent's own fist, bare handed at that! This intrigued Axis to no end, figuring that she had stupidily accepted a fighting match with some one seemingly much more powerful than herself. Realizing she, herself was being pushed backwards against such strength, Axis used this oppurtunity and used the force pushing herself back to grab onto Zaelin's arm. Thus, pulling Zaelin forward while Axis was pushed back. Sending a knee into Zaelin's stomach with Axis' left knee, Axis jumped backwards a few feet for some room after the tried attack, prepared for what else may happen.

Preparing for Zaelin's charge, Axis watched as Zaelin snapped her fingers, and the last thing Axis could see for a moment was red. The color of red and fire, as explosions engulfed her diamond body. Caught completely unawares by her opponents ability. Taking the full front of the explosions Axis curled into a ball and rolled across the ground in a somersault, unharmed physically or mentally by the sudden explosions from Zaelin's power.

Uncurling and standing up in a defensive stance, Axis stood about four feet away from Zaelin. Realizing that she would have to take a different tactic to pin down Zaelin. Standing for a few seconds, Kronaxis soaked in all she had seen happen, deciding again to charge the opponent once again, but try to create a fake out.

Charging headlong, with both diamond arms glittering in the light, they reached for Zaelin, both arms tucked in closely to ensure safety in defense. If Axis could grasp atleast one of the other woman's arms Axis would then try to overpower Zaelin with sheer weight and strength.

( Supposed to ask before making a grapple for fairness sake. Not that I would have cared anyways..just reminding you the rule on grappling ( Curtesy of Feu being a whiner when i grabbed HIS character ))

Zaelin had apparently surprised her opponent with her fire breath because at that moment her cyber eyes and all it's modifications detected an elevated brain activity. The girl was thinking about it quite fierce for a moment..but quickly calmed down again it seemed. Zaelin figured the girl had a plan as she charged towards her once again.

However Zaelin was no longer visible. Upon scanning the girls new diamond body she came to realize she weighed a massive 518 pounds ( did the math for you..it wasn't easy )..causing Zaelin to know that if she tried to sumo counter her she would fail miserably. a punch or kick could be countered..but not the full force of all the girls weight.

When she turned invisible Zaelin simply sidestepped out of the girls way and decided to ponder what to do next. It wasn't that she couldn't beat this girl.. she could if she used her guns or her spirit weapon..but she wanted to test her new powers..and so far she had done that wonderfully. Even though the diamond made the damage next to nothing. it was still taking damage. ...Thats it.

"Shatterpoint frenquency.."

She muttered this out loud just so Kronaxis could hear it. Then the next thing Kronaxis would have heard would have been nothing. it would have been of such high sound frequency that the human ears ( or diamond in this case ) couldn't hear it. However...Kronaxis's body could hear it very well.. it could feel it..and it knew what was going on.

Kronaxis's body would have told her what she herself couldn't know. The sound was going to destroy the diamond body if she didn't revert to normal..and even though Zaelin didn't want to kill the girl..she was certain the girl would revert before being that seriously harmed. There was no saving herself from it as long as she remained diamond. it was going to happen.

Zaelin just hoped the girl was intelligent enough to revert.

or she'd have one hell of a time explaining why she shattered someone to their death.

Thundering down the path towards Zaelin Axis used her full force to try to tackle her opponent, however due to lack of speed, Zaelin easily side stepped the charge of glittering diamond. Nothing showed on Kronaxis' face even though there was disappointment widdling away in her mind. Noting the fact that the other woman did not try to counter Axis with her own strengt like when she was able to counter Axis' own punch, Axis quickly turned around and let out a punch, only to reel it back when she heard the words muttered by Zaelin.

It pained her to have to quit her form so soon, however the mere feeling inside her arms, legs, chest, and face screamed at Axis to stop, and soon. Pulling back the punch Axis quickly jumped backwards, landing heavily on the ground with a thud. Taking advice from instinct, Kronaxis literally sheded her diamond body. Pieces of the tough material collapsed from Axis' frame, each part revealing her old human skin, as the diamond hit the ground and shattered. To say the least the event was a close one, as Axis looked down upon enough shattered diamond to make a fortune, she realized she could not fight someone who could breathe fire and cause explosions with out some protection.

Watching Zaelin, Kronaxis scanned the area around her, eyes shifting to and fro in hopes of finding something remotely useful, as diamond could now be countered by her opponent. Until her eyes settled on the boulder which had once been lifted in the air, that was the key!

Sprinting in her flesh and bone form, Axis ran to the boulder and placed both hands on it, realizing she could not replicate new material, she could atleast manipulate what already exists. The boulder itself was not enough to cover all of Axis however it was enough to atleast coat her skin with rock, and whatever might be inside it. Hoping that Zaelin was not charging over to attack, Axis manipulated the rock substance as her skin giving herself a grey colored appearence, with flecks of black, brown, and other earthy colors.

Luckily, there was a small deposit of flint in that rock, which then was manipulated at Kronaxis' fingertips on her hands. Recieving a great idea. Axis quickly ran towards Zaelin, manipulateing the air as she went to form a bubble of pure oxygen infron of Axis. Scraping her flint fingertips with great speed Axis hoped to catch her opponent off guard with a searing fireball as the Flint sparked the pure oxygen bubble.

Zaelin waited after she noticed the girl was shredding her diamond form. so..the diamond was manipulated to such a degree that the original object wasn't even involved in the ridding of said diamond? Interesting enough. However Zaelin wanted to make sure she didn't do anything stupid when the girl had just lost her main offensive power. So she waited to see if the girl gave up or continued. Luckily enough the girl continued. Running to Zaelin's boulder and seeming to use it to become made of stone herself. ..Odd choice considering that that technically made her more fragile..but only if she used it the wrong way.

This wrong way was proven to be false. As the girl formed a bubble of oxygen and then snapped her fingers in it causing it to be a fireball that was coming for her now. So it seems the rock had something else inside it. an Impurity that the girl had quickly realized was there. Very very smart of her. Even Sharu was impressed. However.

Play below Cero noise for added effect. lawl.
v<-------------->v

^<------------->^

Zaelin didn't waste anytime countering the new obstacle that was the fireball. She unleashed a cero from one of her guns that she pulled from her container pouch on her waistline that was also behind her. It was a quick motion..but it wouldn't have been one that this girl couldn't have seen coming. She may have been surprised but she wouldn't have been seriously harmed. Zaelin purposely lowered the output of her gun's beam bullet so it would hurt but wouldn't be lethal if she hit the girl.

Now she simply waited again. She had tested most of her new abilities already in fairly rapid succession. This had been well worth it..just like Sharu had said. ...Zaelin's left eye twitched as that thought crossed her mind. Sharu had been right about a great many things that Zaelin didn't believe..and it slightly bothered her..

But now she was also interested to see what else this girl could do. She seemed to be able to manipulate and replicate. So..could she replicate..this?

Zaelin pulled her spirit weapon out of thin air again and tossed it on the ground infront of the girl. This would be both a test of her powers and a test of the spirit weapons power. Supposedly anyone who wasn't bound to the weapon couldn't wield it and it was able to teleport to the owner as long as the summoning item was intact and on the wielders person. As the necklace was unremovable by Zaelin..it was definitely still there.

There were other things she wanted to test as well. This girl has spiritual powers.. and the spirit swords had a safety feature to harm spiritual beings as if burning them should they touch it. She wanted to see if that included humans or excluded them. Since humans were the creators of these weapons. it was an interesting question and Sharu wasn't sure.

Either way. Even if she could use the material. It wouldn't be destroyed. It couldn't. It was bonded to Sharu's soul..which was bonded to Zaelin's soul. it's energy never depleted..making it an everlasting weapon. If anything..this would make the girl a much harder opponent to face if she was able to succeed. On the brighter side..these weapons were also handy at shattering barriers and couldn't harm the one their bonded too. Or at least thats what Sharu keeps telling Zaelin. She would have to test that sometime..

( if it is in compliance with your power you can do your thing with the weapon. It will not be destroyed though. the hilt will remain no matter what and will recharge the blade outside of the thread. Also it doesn't hurt humans when they hold them. but Zaelin nor Sharu know this because neither had ever tried to test it. So feel free. )

PostSubject: Re: The Human Spirit   Mon Nov 28, 2011 4:59 pm

(OOC sorry for the wait)

With a frown of rock Axis took the blast, being unable to see through the fireball she had created, however the blast from Zaelin did not seem to hurt as much as it looked. Moving a few feet backwards, Axis felt the pain of the blast in her earthy skinned body. With a sly smile Kronaxis would have wanted to try something else on the oppopnent, however it seemed that the other woman had a different idea in mind. As a sword seemingly appeared out of no where had landed infront of Axis. Looking at the sword, then to Zaelin, then back to the sword Axis was unsure how to proceed. Taking an opponent's weapon was a terrible idea in a combat situation if nothing is known about it. A risk liek this is usually not worth taking, but the fact that this fight was more of a spar and a test than much else seemed to counter the arguement. However, worries remained, was the fight still on even? What exactly was Zaelin getting at by throwing a random sword to Axis? Questions fumed from Axis' skull as she cautiously came nearer the sword, testing to see if there was any sort of area defense that could cause harm, Axis picked up a rock and threw it around the sword, missing intentially, but nothing seemed to happen.

Glancing back at Zaelin, Kronaxis decided to take the bait, after all this person seemed much more powerful then she let on, and probably could beat Axis bloody if she wanted. Replication was barely able to be used again, especially after using a full body replication and manipulation. Walking closer towards the sword, an odd feeling seemed to come to Axis as she clsoed in on the stranger's weapon. Clenching her fists Axis sighed and touched the blade of the sword gingerly, as to not want to scartch it or even hurt herself.

Touching the metal blade Kronaxis thought for a moment, whether to turn away from this weapon, yet having a metal like this could be useful. Placing both hands on the blade, all the while watching Zaelin for any sudden movements, Axis replicated the metal, not on her own body however, but rather into a scimitar-like bladed weapon which stood at a height of two feet, and a metal hilt with a diameter of five inches. Not wanting to exhaust herself, Axis decided to replicate a weapon of the metal instead of using it as skin, full knowing that it could still be a trap. Leaving the sword as it was on the ground Axis did not bother to pick it up by the hilt or at all for that matter and left it where it was for Zaelin, all the while Axis took her curved weapon of solid metal with herself to a different point on the field. It did not feel too heavy for being metal, however it wasn't very long.

"I thank you, I admit I wasn't expecting that, heh!" Smirking Kronaxis gestured to the sky for little reason, but to test out her new blade on the air, listenign to the eventful Swish it made as it cut the air.

( OOC - it was a spear..but whatever lawl. )

Zaelin suddenly came in like a mad bull with great speed..a snap of her finger had caused the weapon to be back in her possession. With a thrust she had it damn near Kronaxis's face in no time flat..Zaelin fully expected a counter or a parry or something..but just in case stopped at the last second and gave full opportunity for such an event to occur.

However now that the girl had a somewhat permanent means to defend herself. The game was on. Zaelin's spear snapped in the middle and she began wielding the top half like a sword in her right hand and the bottom have like a short-spear in the left hand. Thrust with a left to the chest. Feigning a slash from above that turns into a slicing thrust towards the knee while the left once against thrusts aiming for the face this time.

It continued on like this. Zaelin purposely made it to where she attacked with the left in a thrust and the right for slashes and feints. Even if Kronaxis could figure the pattern..it didn't mean she'd be able to properly defend against it with her one little scimitar. Or could she? Zaelin intended to find out first hand whether or not she could!
