Personality: Jensen is a Calm, collected man. He keeps a cool head in every situation, and is almost impossible to anger. He believes anger is a curse, and because he could not control it in his human life he was punished with a demon of relentless rage. But because he was no longer human, he vowed to never become engulfed by the battle rage, and learned to control his anger.
Jensen helps anyone who asks, and where he sees fit, those who don't. He would never interviene in a fight, unless he believed it was completely nessassary. He himself will not turn down a fight, and finds it an honor to battle a worthy foe. He is honorable, and will not use dirty tricks to defeat an enemy. If jensen believes he is beaten, he will stand down. And if he feels himself begin to anger, he will turn and walk away without looking back. The only time he would ever continue to fight in these circumstances is if a friend, or even a stranger would be hurt or killed without him.
Jensen is freindly and kind, but since his wife when he was human he has never loved anyone else. He holds onto the hope that one day he will find his wife in soul society, although the fact that he's been banished doesn't help with that.
Allot of the time Jensen is relatively happy, but there are times when Jensen becomes overwhelmed with grief about his past, and the fact that he's lost two thousand years of his life. He tends to cut himself off when this happens, and can usually be found in England, resting near stonehenge.
Likes: Jensen likes honorable fighters, the taste of honey mead, and thinking of old memories.
Fears: Jensen fears the thought of losing when he knows a freind or even an innocent is in danger. He knows it will bring out his darker side if he lets that happen, and he fears that more. He also fears the though of being trapped in the oblivion world again, which took so much out of him to escape the first.
Character Appearance
Height: 5'11"
Weight: 180lb
Physical Traits: He has tanned. course skin, light blue eyes, dark brown hair that goes down past his shoulders, Jensen has a scar across his eye, that cuts into his cheek, and another on the right of his chest. He has a dark five oclock shadow. He has a muscular build.
Clothing: He wears a long grey coat, the ends just above his knees, a wite cotton shirt, with leather lacing up the front. The laces are untied, and the shirt is partially open around the neck. He wears dark brown cotton trousers, with decorate lacing from the knee down, and high leather boots that stop a few inches from the knees. The boots are laced up with leather. He also wears black leather gloves, and a leather belt clasped with an iron buckle around his waste. There is a small leather loop on the right side, where the scabbard of his zanpakuto is held.
Accessories: A simple leather banded neclace with a small silver medallion is tucked under his shirt. On the left side of his belt is a straight knife used to skin animals. It has a simple black scabbard with a silver clasp that clips to the blade to stop it from sliding out. The knife it self is quite sharp. Both of these items are momentums from his past..
Fighting Style
General Fighting Style: Jensen has a very defensive fighting style. He will try to dodge or block attacks, and use feints, trips and disarm menouvers to disable his opponant. He uses his off hand to try and deliver a blow that will stagger an enemy, or kick at the legs and hips to trip them. He rarely fights to kill, only disable.
Jensen wield's his Zanpakuto in his left hand. He uses the flat of the blade to strike at the knees and arms of opponants to disarm or trip them. He tries to block as many incoming blows as possible and when he spots an oppening will unleash a flurry of blows aimed towards the head and torso, before falling into a defensive stance again. He strikes at the head with the pummel to try and disorientate people.
When he calls out his shikai his tactics are very similar. He uses the gauntlet and basket hilt of his flail to block, and deliver quick blows. He strikes at the wrists and knees with the shaft of the flail, to try and trip or disarm, and then deliver a more powerful blow with the flail's head.
Jensen can last longer in melee combat, (10 posts in shikai) but he stay's fatigued for longer (4 posts)
[i]Strengths: Because Jensen is such a defensive fighter he has become good at spotting flaws in a persons defense, an picking out their weaknesses. He is good at keeping close to an opponant while staying protected from thier attacks, and is a master swordsman, because of his prior life as a warrior. He is above average in strength.
Weaknesses: Jensen is better at defence than offense, attacking less than defending. He is weak at kido, his reiatsu is below average, his lacks ranged attacks, and although he can sense people at a distance, he can not distinguish between the different types of races, or gauge their power correctly. his hand to hand and healing abilities are below average.
Zanpakuto & Kidou
Sealed Appearance: Jensen's zanpakuto comes in two parts. The first is a nijato. The blade is 30” and the hand is 7”. the hilt has four arms, that extend from the zanpakuto blade in a swirl and go out about 2” on all sides. It can be gripped with two hands, but is better suited to one. The blade is thick, wide and the edge is blunted so it is more suited to blugeon people. It will still cut, if Jensen wishes. The second part is a unadorned leather vambrace on his right arm. It's useless in its sealed form.
Spirit’s Name: Celestia
Spirit’s Appearance: Celestia is tall and lilth. She shares Jensen's light blue eyes, but her hair is silver in color. It reaches down to her mid back and is silky smooth and straight. She wears a White silk dress. It has a scooped neckling and long hanging sleeves. The dress has a cinced waist, but hangs loosly from Lilianna's slender form otherwise. She wears a slim belt which holds the scabbard of her sword if she is using her weapon.
Spirit’s Personality: Celestia is nothing like Jensen. Where he is calm, she is excitable and hot headed. She can be a handful to control at times. She barrates Jensen for not being more offensive, and gets annoyed when he stops to help strangers with menial tasks. Celestia is more go go go, she likes to be in the thick of the action, weather that be a fight or at a feast. She does agree with Jensen's unwillingness to kill however.
Celestia cares greatly for Jensen, and it distresses her greatly when his inner hollow takes over. However, instead of trying to push Thurstan back, she will help him as best she can, so that jensen will stay safe. She knows Thurstan is a part of Jensen too, but she still resents him for his rash actions, and his willingness to hurt Jensen mentally.
Inner World: Jensen's inner world began as a forest, a simple place of beauty. But over the years and especially after his time trapped in oblivion the forest has warped into a jungle of briars and weeds, and tall gastly trees. At the centre, a where a beautiful white stone tower stood, is now a ruin. Celestia still lives in the tower, and every day Jensen is in his new world, she rebuilds his inner one.
The only thing that did not change is the view of the midnight sky, and the crystaline moon, which gives hope to jensen that oneday, his inner world will be restored.
Kidou: none, to big a weakness to use.
Shikai
Call Out Command: Pulse, Celestia
Appearance: Jensen's ninjato takes on the form of a heavy flail, with a basket hilt around the grip and a two foot pole to stop the flail head from wipping around and striking his hand. A bright blue aura pulses from the head of the flail, and the tips of the flanges glow green. The chain is a foot and a half long.
the guantlet
The vambrace on his right hand transforms into a dark metal gauntlet. It is thick and eligantly decorated with claw tipped fingers and a leather backing, and its main purpose is to deflect and parry melee attacks, or strike foes while he charges a Starburst. It pulse the same blue and green aura as the flail.
Abilities: Pulse wave:Jensen gains the ability to send out waves of riatsu. The waves travel about ten feet before dispating. The wave only does small amounts of damage but the heavy riatsu wave will push enemies back from Jensen. Pulsewave is activated when Jensen wishes. Jensen's pulse wave can not be used durring or while star burst is in cool down.
Star burst: Jensen builds up riatsu in the flails head by spinning it, then strikes a foe. The blast that follows sends enemies flying trough the air, (unless the difference in power is huge) and does good damage. It is short range and takes one post to charge. however the charge is not released untill jensen hits something with the flail, or three turns pass. Pulse wave can not be active during that time. Star burst also takes a toll on jensens reiatsu. star burst takes one post to recharge.
Heart piercer: Jensen throws a reiatsu replica of his hunting dagger. It travels one hundred feet before disolving. It moves as fast as a bala. It does similar damage to a bala. Jensen needs to actually throw it, and can only throw three per post. He uses this when an opponant moves to far away to attack with his zanpakuto, or to try and interupt a powerful ranged attack like a cero.
Solar flare: A powerful burst of light emits from Jensen's gauntlet and blurs the vision of anyone looking at, slowing their evasion and speed to 2/3 the normal for that individual. it lasts for 2 posts. It affects multiple targets in a 15 foot radius, and It has a 3 post cool down.
Boosts: Strenght x3 stamina x3 speed x2
Bankai
New Name: Celestia Astrum
Appearance: Several changes come to Jensen's appearance when he releases his bankai. The first is His guantlet becomes a thick heather shield. It is grey and red in color, with silver engraving on it. The shield glows the same blue green light as the guantlet. And is made of steel with a wood and leather backing. Like the sword, Jensen's shield is unbreakable, as it is a direct part of his Zanpakuto, and evolves from the vambrace that is on Jensen's right arm when the weapon is sealed, or like the gauntlet in shikai.
the shield, only with dark grey in place of the silver, and silver in place of the black etchings.
Jensen is now the armor im the picture below, and his legs are also protected by this black/grey steel and chain. However the helmet and spikes around the neck are not part of his armor.
Finally, Jensen's weapon becomes the sword in the picture above. its about 4 foot in total, and the top foot and a half of the weapon can, at will, be split into sections as if it were a whip. allowing the weapon to by used like the flail in his shikai, and extending the weapon by a foot.. (this could be compared to renji's shikai ability, but with a much more limited range.) The sword is heavier than sharp, and can deliver powerful blunt damage when being weilded normally.
Abilities: spirit shield: a shield of reiatsu extends out from jensens shield creating a two foot wide. six foot tall barrier of protection against ceros, bala, riatsu and elemental attacs and kido that are fired. The shield absorbs the attack, and2 a quarter of the absorbed reiatsu goes to Jensen, replenishing him. level 70 hado, high powered cero, and reiatsu, element, or other powerful attacks of that kind can shatter the sheild. The spirit shield does not protect or stop physical attacks. two post cool down.
All shikai abilities can be used in bankai, and are x2 the power in bankai.
Celestial slash: An aura of power builds up around the sword, and in a singl slash Jensen fires a a long, sharp blade of reiatsu from the sword, and follows the line of the slash, that can cut strong hierro and deliver heavy damage. However because of the power of the move, and Jensen's limited reiatsu it has a large cool down of 4 posts and a 1 post charge. travels 10 foot before dissipating comepletely.
improved Star burst: Jensen builds up riatsu in the sword when its in chain blade form, then strikes a foe. The blast that follows sends enemies flying trough the air, and does good damage (but only half as much as celestial slash). It is short range and takes one post to charge. however the charge is not released untill jensen hits something with the flail, or three turns pass. Pulse wave can not be active during that time. In Bankai, it does not have a charge, but still has the 3 post cool down.
Hierro like armor: The thick steel plates act like a strong hierro, and the chain mail are an average hierro in strenght.
Boosts: strenght, speed, and stamina stay the same as shikai. durability x2
Inner Hollow
Appearance: Jensens inner hollow is a version of himself, the scar on his face is on the opposite side. His eye's are orbs of inky darkness, with specks of red scattered within. He is clean shaven and pale. His hair is shorter, and murky grey. He wears a black cloak in place of Jensen's coat, and does not carry jensen's knife or pendant. He wields Jensens zanpakuto in his right hand, as opposed to the left hand.
Personality: Jensen's inner hollow is the a manifestation of Jensen's darker side in his human life. He is the representation of the battle rage Jensen would suffer from. The battle rage would take over if jensen was badly injured, or a comrade was slain, or injured.
Jensen's inner hollow's name is Thurstan. He took his name from the warrior who took Jensen's life. Jensen takes it as an insult, which it is. Thurtan believes Jensen to be to soft, and has little respect for him. He believes to be a warrior means to fight and kill, and the fact that Jensen does not like to kill annoys him greatly. Thurstan sometimes tries to take control to kill Jensen's opponant and in doing so, hurt Jensen.
Thurstan also recent's Celestia and believes its her fault Jensen is soft. Stays away from her when he can and ignores her presence if he can't stay away.
If Thurstan takes over in battle, he will stay very quiet, and rush his opponants. He uses jensen's abilities defensive abilities to force an opponant into a corner, and barrage them with attacks. If he is angered he will go in to a rage and continously assault without a thought for his safety. Thurstan will kill if he is giving the chance and will not hesitate for a second. He believes that if an opponant can't keep up, or is to weak, he deserves to die.
Thurstan's largest driving factor is his rage, and when he is not angry he does not show any other emotion. He won't talk down to an opponant, seeing no points in such things. He lets his rage do the talking.
Mask
Appearance: I cant really describe it, so i drew it instead. The only thing i can describe is that Jensen's eyes turn black like his inner hollows, but his iris stays light blue. The pupil also turns light blue. Specks of red swirl around the iris, and its edge turns red.

Abilities: enhanced strength, enhanced riatsu, and enhanced durability.
Hollow Powers: Cero: The mask allows jensen to fire a cero from the palm of his guantlet, or in bankai, the center of the shield. The cero is black in color with a blue green auro around its edge.
Hierro: Jensen's skin is toughened to a an good hierro for his tier. It can withstand attacks from people the same tier or lower, but not against vibroswords, or people with high strength, or 70 level or higher hado, cero, or other ranged abilities like them.
Inner rage: Jensen channels the rage of his inner hollow to double the damage of all attacks, and resist mind affecting abilities, be they mental or emotional based. It halves his hierro however and can only be used for five posts, with a five post cool down. Its also limited to once a thread until Jensen gains bankai, in which case its twice a thread, and only works when he's wearing his mask, so if the mask only lasts for 2 posts, so do the affects.
Full Vizard Form
Appearance: When Jensen takes his full vizard form the armor of his bankai shatters, only the chian tasset stays. His skin turns grey, and black plates begin to form on his arms, shoulders, chest, and shins. The area around these plates turn blue, and lines of blue connect them to one another. His hallow hole begins to open up on the right of his chest, just below the collar bone. This is the same spot that the viking warrior Thurstan delivered his killing blow to Jensen, when he was human. The two horns on Jensens vizard mask stretch and bend back, over his head.
The mask splits in half where his mouth would be and two sets of vicious teeth, one on the mask, one in his mouth, form. His eyes turn fully black, like his inner hollow's eyes, with specks of red and blue swirling in the black orbs. His shield is destroyed, and a wide axe blade forms on his forarm. The head of the flail falls off, the chain shatters and a broad blade forms from the basket hilt up. Its about 3 foot long. Jensen grows to about 6'5” and bulks up.
Power Boosts: Jensen gains a large boost to strenght and riatsu, a poweful hierro and an enhanced regeration rate.Back Drop
Background: Jensen was born in 615. He grew up in england and began his training when he turned 5. by the age of 20 he was a full blown warrior, who served under the ruler of mercia. He married a woman named lilianna when he was twenty three, and lived happily in times of piece, and violently in times of war. They were blessed with single healthy son, when Jensen was 29. He fought in three wars, survived nine seperate battles and was finally killed at the age of thirty five, by the viking warrior Thurstan, who led an incursion into mercia. During his life, and especially during the years of war, Jensen did many things he regretted. He killed many men from rival tribes, and was taken by battle rage on more than one occassion.
Pt 1 A warriors death
Thirty five years. He'd been alive for, and in all those years, all the days of battle and slaughter, Jensen reinhart had never witnessed anything like what he gazed upon now. A field of corpses, of blood and guts. The air was thick with flies and carrion birds screached at one another, fighting for a dead flesh, even thought there was plenty to go around. Jensen stepped carefully trough the field. He could hear the moans of the dying, and the injured crying out. He found one man, a spear in his back, crawling over the torn and bloodied earth. Jensen knelt beside him, and examined the wound. It was infested with disease, this man was as good as dead. The man looked up at him a grim smile on his face. “I'm done for.. Will you..?” Jensen nodded and drew his sword. “May you fare better in the after life.” He said, and drove the blade into the man's neck. He felt suddenly sick, and his vision blured. For a moment, he swore he saw the man, standing before him, smiling his same grim smile. A chain hung from his chest, about three meters long and cracked and broken at the end, then the man was gone. I need to get off this battle field, before i pass out from the smell. Jensen turned and walked back to where the five hundred men of mercia waited for him. Today they would stop the viking incursion, or die trying.
Three hours passed, and the two armies finally met. Savage, hulking warriors stared across the field towards Jensen and his men. He knew this was going to be a blood bath, unless he did something. He looked among the faces of his men. His second in command, Alwas, looked grim and slightly ill allot of the men had that look to them Tamas stood tall and sure of himself, but Tamas never shrunk from a fight. There would be no quarter, he knew, and he would not have that for his men, if he could. He turned to Alwas.
“Keep the men here, I'm going to end this hear.” he said. “What do you mean, Jensen?”
“I'm going to challange their leader to a duel. Tamas, come with me, just in case.”
Tamas nodded in silence, and followed as jensen set off across the battle ground. The Viking's leader noticed this, and left his men at the edge of the field also. He came with a second warrior, who was twice his size.
The two parties met in the middle, and Jensen waited for the Viking to speak. He stayed silent for a long time, staring at Jensen. “You have the look of a great man,” He finally said. “I am Thurstan Blackhorn. Speak, quickly Celt, for their is killing to be done.”
“I am Jensen Reinhart. I bring offer of a fight to the death, between myself and you, or a chosen champion. If i win, your men will withdraw from Mercia, and leave the fighting for another day.”
“And if i win?” Thurstan asked. “What do i get, besides another trophy on my belt?”
“My men will withdraw, and let you continue your looting, for one more day.”
“So you give up your life, to gain them another day of thier's. How honorable, “He smiled, “and pointless. Very well. I will fight you.”
“Thurstan, I shall fight in your place.” The hulking warrior behind thurstan said.
“No, you will give the men direction, if I die.” Thurstan smiled as he said the last word, as if it was an impossiblility.
Jensen looked to Tamas, and nodded. Tamas fell back about ten paces. Thurstan's second copied him. As Jensen strapped on his shield, drew his longsword and took stance, he felt the eyes of one thousand warriors on him. Thurstan drew a pair of weapons, a brutal looking one handed axe, and a broadsword. The two warriors met each others gaze, a fierce tension began to rise in the air. Then Thurstan was charging Jensen, axe high in the air. He swung down, and jensen knocked it aside with his shield. He thrust his blade towards the vikings chest. The viking side stepped, and did a full three sixty turn, his broadsword wipping around with incredable force. Jensen back stepped, and forced the blade down with his own.
He then took two steps in, bringing himself right up to thurstan. He drove the rim of his shield up, into Thurstan's nose guard. Blood splashed across the shield as thurstan's nose broke. The viking let out a furious roar, and drove hes left and into tensens face. Jensen staggered back, and barely dodged a visious axe blade as it speed towards his head. Thurstan brought his broad sword up in an arc. The tip tore trough the flesh of jensen's face, cutting from his cheek, up across his eye. The blade didn't go in deep enough to take his eye, but he still let out a gasp of pain. Jensen felt his anger rising, and he tried to push it back. If he lost his head now, he would lose his life.
Thurstan didn't stop to gloat, he moved in, sword driving forth toward Jensen's chest, he parried it, and ducked under another wild axe swing. Jensen brought his own sword up, and sprang from his crouch. The sword drove into to flesh of thurstan's left arm, and he dropped his wicked axe. He let out a roar and slashed at jensen's throat. Jensen was forced to release his sword, and throw himself back. He hit the ground and rolled away, and stood upright shield infront of him. Thurstan pulled Jensen's sword free, and threw it aside. He rushed at Jensen again, slashing violently at him. He blocked and dodged the violent slashes, but one tore across his ribs, He jumped back, then, as thurstan attacked, he dived past, rolled, and grabbed hold of thurstan's axe. Thurstan twisted around as Jensen did so, and kicked one of his legs from under him. He fell on his back, and Thurstan drove his blade down. Jensen through up his shield, but the blade passed right trough, into the right side of his chest. Thurstan smiled savagely, and pushed it in deeper, pinning his arm to his chest. Jensen coughed, blood spraying from his mouth. “I win, Jensen Reinhart. And i now i'm going to-” Jensen cut him off, by swinging the axe in his left hand into thurstan's neck. Thurstans toppled back, blood spraying from his neck. He hit the ground dead.
Jensen himself dying, and as he looked up a the blue sky, he spotted Tamas appear out of the corner of his eye. But then another figure apeared, as Tamas reached his side. A man in black, with a strange sword, who reached out his hand. Jensen took it, and was pulled from his body. He noticed a chain hanging from his chest. It trailed up to his body, where it lay severed from another piece. The man in black looked him up and down, and said “You fought well, warrior. Come with me, the gokai 13 need a man like you.”
End
Jensen's time in soul society progressed quickly. He was enlisted into the shingami acadamy by the man who brought him to soul society, where he progressed quickly in the art of battle, although he did not fair to well with kidou. When he graduated he was enlisted into the ranks of the gotai 13, squad 11. he proved himself to his captain on more than one occasion, which saw he rise through the seats. in one particular battle with a rogue hollow, he threw himself in front of a comrade who let his guard down. Jensen was nearly killed, and was promoted to vice captain to honor his bravery.
But when a crisis struck the human world in the form of a hollow invasion led by a vasto lorde named grimlock, things changed for him. Jensen fought Grimlock in battle, and was almost destroyed. The trauma to his body resulted in the emergence of a darkness within himself. The battle rage had returned, and it had a name. Thurstan. When thurstan took over Jensen's body, he assaulted grimlock with such rage that the vasto lorde was driven back in hueco mundo, along with his army.
Unfortunatly The raging thurstan attacked the captain of squad 11, and wounded him. Both of them recovered, but the assault could not be overlooked. Jensen was forced to flee soul society, or be arrested and sentenced to death.
Jensen continued to train in the human world knowing that oneday, Grimlock would return. He began to develope his new skills, and with the help of Celestia, he managed to defeat and subue his inner hollow, although he almost failed. It wasn't long after, when grimlock returned, with a new power of his own, and a strange companion. As the battle began, so the companion began to chant, as Jensen and grimlock faced of for the final time.
The battle didn't go well for Jensen, and despited the fact that he destroyed the vasto lorde grimlock, Barely thanks to thurstans rage, he was thrown into a different world by the strange companion that had acompanied Grimlock. His time in this world, around 2000 years, was hard, and about half way trough, he felt the world begining to collapse. He used his power to keep it open, and spent the next thousand years trying to escape and finally did.
(there is more back story to add, but I'll leave that for when Jensen's old powers begin to develope again.)
Side Notes: note one: while Jensen has his bankai and vizard mask in his back story, his time in the oblivion world has caused him to forget them, and his inner hollow has become dormant. Even Celestia has forgotten about Thurstan.
Note two: The thurstan that killed him and his inner hollow are not the same Thurstan, although its entirely possible,his inner hollow originates from the battle rage Jensen suffered from.
Note three: The oblivion world drained Jensens power to stay active, so it will be apropriate for the tier you place him at.
Note four: the oblivion world is a world created by a hollow under the rule of Grimlock. Since Jensen has escaped, the world has completely vanished from existance, because the hollow who created it, died.
Note five: I still have a few pictures to add, when i figure it out..
RP Sample: Jensen stepped for the doorway into the busy street. The air was cool, the sky cloudy. The bad weather reminded him of his homeland. He pushed away the memories with a grim smile, and left them for another day. Today, he would try and figure out how to make money. His coat was ruined, torn up in a fight with a hollow, and he needed a new one. But suddenly he felt the appearence of powerful spiritual pressure, and decided it would be a good idea to investigate. The local shinigami might need his help dealing with the foe, although he didn't intend on sticking after for a chat. His existence wasn't exactly welcome.
Happy with his decision, Jensen walked down an alley, and casually climbed up the roof access. He then began to run in the direction of the energy, and shumpo'd across the roof tops until he was close. He spotted two shapes in the sky above the roof tops.
Good. He thought, Atleast he had the sense to draw it into the sky. To many people could be injured in a ground battle.
He continued to watch the fight, and considered whether he should interviene. Suddenly the hollow struck the shinigami hard, and sent her tumbling trough the air. He began to charge a cero. Jensen made his choice.
“Pulse, Celestia!”He bellowed. And shunpo'd to the shinigami's side. He grabbed her by the arm and threw her from the path of the attack, then barely side stepped it himself. He formed a heart piercer in his right hand, and launched it at the hollow, then shunpoed to the right and waited to see what happened....
