PostSubject: Terry Ukima   Sat Jul 09, 2011 11:28 pm

Shinigami Template

Basic Information

Name: Terry Ukima
Age: 23
True Age: 115
Sex: Male

Personality: Terry gives off the appearence of being jovial and not all entirely there. Often ignoring questions and proceeding to pout when he doesn't get his way. Underestimating Terry is something one should not do, however. Terry is highly perceptive, and quite adept at reading the faces of everyone around him. Terry never forgets anything he's seen once, and has earned the reputation of being a genuis. Terry is capable of understanding the thoughts of those around him as he is often watching thier faces for any sign of emotion. Though, the "mind reading" only works if Terry knows that person well(It does not extend towards combat).

When in conversation Terry often pretends forgets he's not alone and tends to get quite chatty. Often leading to discussions about mundane things such as the weather. He also likes using flowery language, though that's more to bore people to death. Because Terry is highly intelligent he'll often trick his insubordinates into a game of "yes sir". He never "tells" them to do anything. He'll merely suggest what they'll do, and they'll respond with a yes. terry keeps peppering them with suggestions and then out of left field will ask wehther they would do the paperwork for him. The word "yes" is usually out of thier mouths before they realize what they've said yes to.

Terry is not all fun and games as he has a serious side. His serious side tends to come out only when he believes he's in danger or whether he's forced to use bankai. When he's in danger he stops talking and instead focuses on attacking the opponent, using his often commented on "dirty tactics". When forced to use bankai he turns absolutely furious and holds nothing back. He doesn't want anyone to look at his bankai for long since it's supposed to be his trump card. Besides, he could have used it as an excuse for why he lost later.

Likes: Plans, Engaging conversations, and Getting others to do paperwork for him
Fears: Doing paperwork, Fighting, Having to use bankai

Character Appearance

Height: 6'0
Weight: 175
Physical Traits:
Clothing: His regular shinigami garb.
Accessories: N/A

Fighting Style

General Fighting Style: Terry's general battle strategy is misdirection and employing kido. Gnerally teery likes to attack from afar to get a read on how his opponent dodges and responds to his attacks. During the first few exchanges of the battle terry likes to let attacks hit him, just so that he can gauge the power behind him. As such, he's susceptible to abilities he hasn't expereinced first hand or at least have recieved no warnings about.

After the first couple exchanges Terry gradually begins to get serious, often pushing his opponents into awkward situations and seeing how they react. If they react according to his expectations he tries even harder to fluster them, to make them hesitate. Depending on whether the expectation meant that they were strong or weak he may lose entire interest in the battle. By the time you've worked out a plan he often knows what you're going to do before you do it. Once he sees your habits, he doesn't fall for them.

Should someone surpass his expectations...that's when the battle getes interesting. If the opponent is able to keep up with the barrage of kido terry is likely to fire then he might release his shikia or engage in close quarters combat. Despite his tendecies to engage in long range combat Terry is adept at close range combat, often using misdirection to conceal his actual target. What makes Terry dangerous is not his intellect (formidable that it is) nor his prowess as a shinigami. It's his absolute disregard for the gentlemanly rules of combat. You have your back turned? Expect to get slashed. You have someone you want to protect? He'll attack them to distract you. You are wide open to an attack on your private parts? Expect your nuts to get smashed in. terry is one thing and one thing only. Ruthless.

Strengths: Unlike most shinigami who specialize in one area of combat Terry is above average in all of the shinigami arts. Terry's kido knowledge knows no bounds, capable of using an unchanted Hado 90 at full strength. His shunpo also happens to be above average. His skill is such that he's able to use Hoho to stand upside down for an unlimited amount of time, though the pain of blood rushing to his head stops him from doing it indefinitely. He's easily capable of speed-blitzing those under a lower Tier than him, mostly because he's more skilled, but he usually catches them off-guard; giving him the illusion of speed most of the times. He stayed in the second division long enough to learn Utsemi, though it isn't as effective as as Yorichi's or even Byakuya's as he observed how it was done rather than was taught. It is still skilled enough that he can dodge an opponent's attack with relative ease however.

His durability is such that he is capable of tankng a fully chanted hado 90 and surviving (albeit barely and on the verge of collapse). Terry is quite capable of taking on taking on Lt. Level opponents with his bare hands. Aside from those in the 2nd division Terry's skill in hakuda is formidable as he can take on any opponent without his zanpakuto. Because he was a former 2nd Division member Terry also knows the Ikkotsu and Sokutsu technique, giving him extra force behind his blows when he needs it.

Terry's skill at controlling his reiatsu is such that he's capable of lowering it at will and is even able to completely shut off others from sensing it. This also extends to his kido as he can cast certain kido back to back without having to rest after using it.

Weaknesses: Terry doesn't really have any weaknesses aside from the fact that he won't be as good as someone who specializes in that field (Say someone is excellent at shunpo. Terry won't be better than them, but he can still keep up). Aside from Terry's durability everything about him his average. Aside from his immense spiriutal pressure, his strength is that of an average shinigami, albeit one that is a captain. His speed his average when not using shunpo, and those with natural speed are capable of taking him off-guard.

Terry's zanjustu skill is merely average compared to most shinigami. Someone reasonably skilled would have the upper hand if Terry was forced to rely on his zanpakuto as a fighting weapon.

Aside from that, he also has the absolutely awful habit of letting his opponent hit him when they are in released/shikia mode. Just to see how it affects him.

Zanpakuto & Kidou

Sealed Appearance:

Spirit’s Name: Fujin

Spirit’s Appearance:

Spirit’s Personality: Terry's zanpakuto spirit is usally jovial and increbily friendly. he doesn't particularly like fighting. He and Terry usually get along just fine, though he's dismayed at Terry's violent tendencies at times.

Inner World:

Kidou: ALL KIDO

Unnamed

Jikanteishi (時間停止, Temporal Stasis) A forbidden spell used by Tessai along with Spatial Displacement. It is a spell that halts time in a specific area. (1-2 uses only)

Kūkanten'i (空間転位, Spatial Displacement) A forbidden spell used by Tessai with Temporal Stasis to teleport a specified portion of space from one point to another, transporting even other active Kidō spells. (1-2 uses only)

Shikai

Call Out Command: "Blow them away, Fujini"

Appearance:

Abilities: When his shikia is activated Terry gains the ability to generate hot and cold air. The cold air (emnated from the white sword) can be used to inflict minor freezing when cut by the zanapkuto and the hot air (emnated from the black sword) is capable of causing light burns. The actual ability of the shikia is the ability to generate mini tornados (About 6 feet in height and 3 feet in width). To summon the tornadoes Terry has to rub the zanpakutos together in a swiping motion. The number of tornadoes Terry can summon is unlimited, but he can only summon them one at a time. The tornadoes themselves move at the speed of a bala. The strength of the tornadoes is around a Level 50 Hado.

The tornadoes, once summoned, are only capable of being fired in a straight line.

Boosts: Terry's physical strength increases tremendously, allowing him to fight on par with captains that have much more physical strength than he does. Is stronger than the average captain when in shikia. Strength x2.

[strike]
Bankai

New Name: Wind God Fujin

Appearance: On both hands.

Abilities: Essientially, Terry shikia condenses and is subsequently more versatile. Now Terry can fire off tornadoes with a punching motion, though on a far grander scale. The tornadoes size doubles and its strength is equivalent to a fully chanted Hado 63. The tornadoes, however, can still only be fired in a straight line and retain the same speed.

The brass knuckles that are his bankai is capable of stopping a zanpakuto in it's tracks much as if it was a regular sword/zanpakuto.

Boosts: Terry recieves a massive boost in speed and strength considering the nature of his bankai and because of the fact he's exclusively settling with hand to hand combat. Faster than the average captain. Speed x2. The force of his blows have added strength to behind them because of the wind emmited from his bankai. Much stronger than the average captain. Strength x3.

Back Drop

Background: The life of Terry Ukima could be summed up as one word. Unfortunate. Having once been human, Terry can't remember what he was like as a human. That's because Terry was born stillborn, having never taken a breath in the world of the living. The baby automatically drifted to Soul Society. No one knows why babies are automatically sent to Soul Society, but it happned in Terry's case. Once his soul drifted to Soul Society Terry was born again, this time in the noble house of Ukima.

Growing up, Terry's intellect was shown. As first, it was merely pulling pranks on the guardsman. Then, as he grew older, it was manipulating those around him to do paperwork for him. Though he was only 3rd in line for the head of Ukima, he still had paperwork to do, as all the paperwork needed to be signed by all three heirs at once. From a very early age Terry acquired an intense dislike for paperwork. By the time terry Turned 50 (He was physically around 10) he was fairly sick of noble life. And that's when he saw a shinigami for the first time.

The shinigami was garbed in a black and carried around a sword. The contact with the shinigami had been brief, but Terry was fascinated. He asked what kind of sword did the shinigami wear. Knowing his insatiable curiosity his parents tried to deflect his questions. Seeing that he wasn't going to get an answer Terry asked one of the guardsmen. The guardsmen, by now, were extremely wary of Terry's pranks but didn't see the harm in telling him. It was a zanpakuto, they said. terry whispred to himself "Zanpakuto". That was it. Terry burst into the main hall of the Ukima household and announced to everyone he was going to become a soul reaper.

This was met with varying responses. The guardsmen and servants let out a sigh of relief while his parents let out a cry of dismay. Despite much persuading on his parent's part Terry would not be swayed. He would get out of noble life one way or the other. With much relutance his parents let him go. They hoped to at least have a contact with the Gotei 13. They hadn't had one in over 800 years. Not a single person had been strong enough to graduate the academy, let alone become a seated officer, and much less having a chance of becoming a captain.

So, Terry enrolled in the Soul Society academy. Only, to find out it was dreadfully boring. He memorized every single assignment and every single kido spell taught to him just once. Others were hailing him as a genious. But..to his surpsise when it came to the physical portions of the training...Terry sucked. He wasn't fast enough to keep up with those that were good with hoho and he wasn't strong enough to fight those who were good at zanjutsu. Though Terry could've entered the Gotei 13 with his kido scores alone he chose to stay and work on his physical attributes.

It only took Terry 10 more years to graduate the academy. He was still only fairly average when it came to anything other than kido but he could now hold his own for a short while in zanjustsu and hakuda without being blown back in a single blow. Despite his weakness in those areas Terry decided the best way to become better at zanjustu and hakuda was to join the squads that were specifially tailored to that style of combat. Contrary to everyone's expectations Terry joined the 2nd Division.

Terry's hakuda and hoho skills were still lacking and he decided that joining the division that specialized in it would make him better. It did. Knowing Terry's reputation he was immediately ordered in the maggot's nest. Zanpakuto weren't allowed there and he could only fight with his bare hands. Despite all odds, Terry managed to survive his asignment there, but Terry had changed. He no longer used gentlemanly methods of combat. That could get you killed. Now, he used any means necasary to win, to survive. Terry stayed in the division another 40 years and he found he had a natural affinity for shunpo and hakuda. He became quite skilled and it was around this time that he met Yorouichi. He had noticed she had a habit of visiting Division 2 members. Terry eavesdropped over her teaching one of the 2nd Division members Utsemi. He saw how it was done, and he quitely tried to tip-toe away, but Yorouichi noticed he was there anyway.

Thoroughly caught, Terry didn't bother trying to lie. In fact, he was quite gleeful in admitting he had been spying on her for the past 20 years, hoping she'd teach him shunko. He didn't know how Yoroichi would respond, and the student he'd ignored atacked him withher zanpakuto! Terry employed the Utsemi technique and had his zanpakuto pointed at the other shinigami's throat. Yorouichi clapped, said it was not bad, then vanished. Dejected at essientially having his request denied terry picked up his 2nd Division uniform and went home. Which further irratated that 2nd Division member.

Sometime during the 40 years in which he was a second division member Terry obtained and perfected his bankai. He had first gotten it 10 years prior duing a training section with his zanpakuto. He managed to subjugate it (though he wasn't thoroughly happy about having to do it) and he obtained it. 10 years later, Terry perfected his bankai and he decided that he was ready. Terry then quit the 2nd Division.

Having finally obtained all the skills he thought he needed he put in his captain's application for the 5th division. All anyone could say was "FINALLY".

Side Notes: I want to keep the forbbin ones used by tessia here so I don't have to go look for them on Bleach wiki.

First things first.. you were either former 11th or former 2nd.. the two are so opposite of eachother it is highly improbably of you being in both. Either be a tank or be adept at hand to hand.

Secondly.. as 5th division captain you would specialize in Kidou. as such you know ALL kidou. Though you lose this right should you ever stop being the 5th division captain ( Thats why Rena doesn't still know all Kidou FYI she used to be 5th division for a short time.) So as long as your the captain of 5th you don't need to list your kidou..simply state ALL Kidou.

Third - Garganta is denied. you are not a hollow. There is a special way to use garganta when you are not a hollow however only kisuke urahara and the 12th division have these devices and the nessicary incantations for it. Not even Vizard are capable of garganta. If any are let me know and I will immediately have it revoked.

Jikanteishi and Kūkanten'i you are allowed these.. they are in fact usable in combat though. just be aware it is an extremely powerful and draining combo and would only be able to use it once..MAYBE twice..before you are unable to do much of anything from having overexerted yourself. Rena is the only other person on the forum with them as far as I know..and she can't use them that much either. But you don't have to fix anything..just wanted to point out these CAN be used in combat..its just insanely taxing on your spiritual energy.

The only other thing I can point out is that you should NEVER compare your stats to a canon. Just because you say thats how strong you are does not mean your tier is going to reflect it..nor will your actual level of abilities. The boosts are fine. but there is no point in comparing your level of speed or strength to a canon as it is simply looked down upon. Please remove those parts.. you can say stronger than average captain..or something..but do not refer to a canon.

Fix these and I'm good with it. I'll tier it when it's fixed.

Took out the history involving the 1th Division. Made him stronger in Hakuda while he is merely average/below average in zanjutsu.

Put All Kido. I'm keeping the tessai ones in my app. I don't feel like going on Bleach Wiki to look for them :/

Garganta has been deleted.

Okey Doke.

My bad Rena. I was struggling to describe how much stronger he got, so I went to base Kensei/Yoruichi to explain. Fixed that, so I just put stronger/faster than the average captain.
