Basic Information


Name: Law
Age: 17
True Age: 200
Sex: Male
Personality: Law is best described as...incredibly lazy. He doesn't really have dreams or aspirations. He just...floats. Nothing interests him and usually no one can gain his attention. He treats battles as boring affairs, despite being quite good at it. Rarely is he invested in a battle, he'd rather hold back and lose just to get the affair over with.

Law doesn't become different when in battle like most shinigami. He doesn't become bloodthirsty, or even excited really. He keeps a calm disposition, and weighs his options. If his opponent is a long range fighter, he's supremely content with that as he rarely meets his equal in Kido. Whe confronted with a close-range figher, he finds it's merely easier to let them attack him for a while while doing nothing. Then, once they get full of themselves or exasperated from his constant dodging, Law will fire a binding kido, then hit them with a Hado 63 for thier troubles.

When around people..Law is dull. He's not a good conversationlist. He doesn't ask questions. He doesn't talk about himself. He's not even a good listener! This also translates to battle as well. Some may find his tactics boring as hell, but they work. He doesn't talk in battle as he's too busy analyzinh his opponent's moves, finding oppenings, and setting traps.

Clothing: Regular shinigami apparel suited to his station.

Fighting Style


General Fighting Style: When in battle, Law is more reactionary than pro-active. He likes to use Kido to upset his opponent and throw a wrench into whatever they may be planning. Once he sees an openning he immediately takes it, not wanting to prolong the battle more than he has to.

Strengths: Law excels at Kido, making even others of his 5th division members green with envy. His zanjutsu is second only to his Kido. He's proficient enough in it to swat away any half-hearted zanpakuto swings with minimal effort and his physical strength is such that he can overwhelm a weaker opponent's defense. He is proficient in shunpo, being able to keep up with opponents of all speeds to defend himself, though he's not fast enough to speedblitz anyone.


Weaknesses: Law's Hakuda is terrible. No. It's not just terrible. It's beyond terrible. There are no words to describe how terrible Law's hakuda is. Without a sword Law is forced to resort to advancing in the other direction. Tranlastion: "retreating". His stamina is such that he can't fight pro-longed battles. His laziness/willingness to end fights quickly merely covers up that fact. He can last up to 8 posts fighting to his fullest(Including utilizing Kido) before having to gasp for breath or calling it quits. It's not that his reaitsu is weak, it's not. It's that his reiatsu control is absolutely terrible. It's either suppress all of it, or let it all out.

Zanpakuto & Kidou


Sealed Appearance: It looks much like an ordinary katana. It doesn't sport any decorations or adornments to speak of.

Spirit’s Appearance: ?

Spirit’s Personality: Gravi behaves much like Law. He isn't willing to do anything. He doesn't even talk to Law much of the time. But, despite the silence between the two they share a bond. They've come to a silenbt agreement that they don't have to say anything. They know what the other would do in thier shoes. They'd do the exact same thing, because they are both the exact same type of person.

Sai ("Obstruction")

Calls forth bindings to immobilize the target's arms.

Bakudo #4
Hainawa ("Crawling Rope")

Calls forth a yellow rope made of reaitsu to bind the target's hands.

•Bakudo #8
Seki ("Repulse")

The caster forms a small ball of energy at the point desired (that is near the casters body anyways) and that ball is able of absorbing and redirecting an opoonents physical force back at them. Making them go flying should they try a melee attack

Geki ("Conquer")

Surrounds the target in a paralyzing red light.


Bakudo #29
Kyakko ("Curving Light")

Hides the target from sight by bending light

•Bakudo #30
Shitotsu Sansen ("Beak-Stab Triple Beam")

Shoots three beams of light that pin the target to one place on a surface, slamming into his/her body in three places in a shape of a perfect triangle.

Bakudo #37
Tsuriboshi ("Suspending Star")

Creates a star-shaped cushion of Spiritual Energy, which anchors it to nearby objects with "ropes" of spirit particles. It can stop falling objects, acting like a safety net.

Kakushitsuijaku ("Call forth the tracing sparrow")

Traces the location of a target soul.

Incantation:
Heart of the south, eye of the north, fingertip of the west, heel of the east, gather by wind, and scatter by rain.

Sajo Sabaku (Locking Bondage Stripes)

Binds the arms of a target. Physical strength alone should not be able to break it

Hadou #1
Sho ("Thrust")

Pushes the target away from the caster with spirit energy.

Hadou #4
Byakurai ("White Lightning")

Fires a bolt of white lightning from the caster's finger, piercing the target

Hadou #31
Shakkaho ("Red Flame Gun")

Attacks the target with a red ball of fire

Soukatsui ("Blue Lotus")

Fires a blue energy ball at the target.

Haien ("Incinerating Flame")

Incinerates a target by burning it to ash

Tenran ("Orchid Sky")

A widening tornado-like blast of wind is fired towards the target

Hadou #63
Soren Soukatsui ("Twin Blue Lotus")

A double version of Hadou #33, the user extends the palm and fires two much stronger energy balls at a target.


Shikai


Call Out Command: "Float, Gravi"
Appearance:

Abilities: Gravi grants Law the ability to generate pitch black anti-directional spheres. Law can generate up to four, all of which float around Law in a circular fashion. By thrusting his hand outward, a sphere then flies toward the opponent at the speed of a bala. Law can send as many spheres as he wants. Should the sphere happen to miss, it then flies back to Law to be used again.

If the sphere hits the opponent, that's when the fun begins. Once hit, the opponent's sense of direction shifts. What was once up becomes down, what was once forward becomes backward, and what was once left becomes right. The effect lasts only a single post, before the opponent returns to normal. However, should the opponent be hit multiple times, it lasts for however many posts he got hit(If he got hit by all four spheres, then the effect lasts for 4 posts).

However, there are disadvantages. Should a sphere hit an opponent, it is lost forever and Law would have to generate another one, which drains his reiatsu (He can only generate 4 more before having to rest). Also, if the opponent is hit more than 4 times, the effect is drastically dimished, lasting for only 1/2 a post before going back to normal.

Back Drop


Background: Law entered Soul Society with no recollection of who he used to be. He doesn't remember his human life, nor does he care to. He figures it is something so traumatic that he's better off not knowing. He can barely recall his years in Soul Society. Being alive for 200+years will do that to someone. It all becomes tangled up and soon, you no longer remember things. Oh, he remembers specific moments. The day he found out that he was suitable shinigami material. The days at the academy. The routine trips to the human world to rid the world of hollows. The day he attained shikia. And the day he graduated the academy. All of this took place 100 years ago.

He doesn't remember what he did before his academy days. Perhaps he merely wondered Rulongai. Did he use to be famous? Did he know anyone? When Law tries to recall faces, all he sees is indistinctive blobs. He can't recall the previous 100 years of his life. And Law is fine with that. It's not as if he wants to know.

Having been a member of the 5th division for 100 years, Law is looking to transfer. For the first time in his life Law wants to have a purpose. But, the thing is, nobody once a former 5th seat of the 5th division. They would think he has no combat skills and his poor at Kido. So now, he has to prove himself all over again. Which he intends to do by trying out for any division who'll have him.

Side Notes: Law was once in the 5th Division. It's the reason why he knows so many Kido...

RP Sample: Law surveyed the battlefield. It was a mess to be quite honest. So many people. All organizing one on one battles amongst themselves. These new crop of shinigami in the academy were stupid in his opinion. No one was setting traps. No one was using Kido to help others. They were all using Hado. In the middle of the battlefield. They could accidently hit one of thier comrades! Law shook his head. They had much to learn. He contemplated showing them how it was done. At least so he could have some peace of mind that they wouldn't continue doing it the idiotic way. The 11th Division way so to speak.

Of course, who was he to judge. A former 5th seat of the Kido Corps. He hadn't really wanted to excel there, despite being adept at Kido. He just...did nothing. He floated through life. Not attracting attention, not training, not pushing himself. Not used to be Law's catchphrase. Well, today was not going to be a day of not's, it was going to be a day of Can Do's. And to be completely and utterly honest with himself. He had found the 5th Division boring. The most boring shinigami in history had found the 5th division boring. Ironic isn't it?

Law casually shunpoed to another location. He couldn't stand watching the idoicy of a one on one, when there were multiple people involved. Shouldn't one of them have come up with the bright idea of "dive and conquer". Sheesh. Law tried to clear his thoughts of the mass academy mock battle. It wouldn't do to be distracted for his upcoming tryout for the 11th division. Law never said he wasn't a hypocrite.

Sendo, please don't double post. First and last warning. Hey, that's Mukuro Dokuro! Whenever you get approval be sure to post in the Face Claims. I'm not sure if your zanpakutou spirit is Dark Mousy or not, but if it is, go ahead and do a Face Claims for him as well, or just do it anyway.

More on personality. Unless you want a really low tier. Try to have at least another small paragraph on background.

Interesting abilities. But man, he is not going to last long in a fight. At all. He almost needs a teammate. If you're really okay with it, ok.

And yes, you still need an RP sample until you are a veteran member and we know how you roll.

Yeah, that is who I am referring to. All you have to do is remove the WIP. I do check character apps. at least once a day whenever I'm on. Kairu should be too.

Ok though, First approval. Just need a second.

Tier: 3-1. Until at least 2-4, you must use incantation to successfully pull off Hado 63 and 58 as well as Bakudo 63. I know those last two no one knows the incantations for them, but just RP like "he started saying the incantation for..." blah blah blah.
