Personality: Taka is a kind and generous soul, giving everything she has to others for their benefit and not her own. She dislikes fighting and does everything she can to avoid it. So instead of a violent nature, like so many Shinigami, she took on a more nurturing route, Taka enjoys healing the wounds of her comrades so they can live and fight once more. Despite her like of healing the wounds, she finds pain and disgust in the fact that those who have the wounds have them to begin with.

Character Appearance

Height: 5'1"
Weight: 152 lbs
Physical Traits: Taka is a small girl, along with some medium curves. She has dark blue hair, almost to the point of being black, that likes to fall in front of her bright red eyes. Her complection is pale that contrasts her typical Shinigami garb. Her nails are painted black along with her toe nails. A scar runs all the way down her spine, if anyone was lucky enough to see it.
Clothing: . She wears typical Shinigami hakama and kimono. On her feet she wears the straw sandals that most wear and on her hands she wears black fingerless gloves. Kangohei is strapped on her left side so it was easier to draw with her right hand.
Accessories: She wears a Native American feather hair tie in the back of her hair.

Fighting Style

General Fighting Style: To start with, Taka tries to get out of the fight. She hates fighting, but if she does she will take a defensive route. She has an obligation to defend herself and those who are injured. However, if she needs to be she will be offensive and rough. Nevertheless, no matter what she does she is always using tactics and trying to stay a few steps ahead.

Sealed Appearance: Kangohei's sealed form is in the shape of a Kyoketsu Shoge. It's a long chain with a ring on one hand and a blade/bladed hook on the other side. The entire weapon is completely black and the chain is ten feet long.

Spirit’s Personality: Kangohei has alot of the same behaviors and ideals as Taka, probably why she chose her. Kangohei is a kind and loving spirit, who enjoys giving her abilities out to help heal injured souls. When she's not healing, however, she simply likes to lounge about and talk, drink or play some kind of game.
Inner World: Kangohei's inner world is something out of a Zombie movie. It's a completely empty hospital, however it doesn't have dead bodies and blood smears on the floor and walls...

Shikai

Call Out Command: Heal, Kangohei!
Appearance: When Taka Calls out her shikai form, she throws the weapon out as if she were attacking and the chain stiffens into a wooden pole. The once Kyoketsu Shoge then becomes a Kamayari spear.
Abilities:
1) Aura of Regen: This ability is an automatic ability that activates the moment she enters shikai. The Aura of Regen creates a fifty foot radius around her that heals her and all her allies at half the speed of high speed regeneration.
2) Web of Steel: This attack is hardly visible at all. Thin razor sharp wire shoots from Kangohei and attempts to entrap and entangle her enemies. This wire is very hard to cut through, but not impossible (Obviously). However, because it is razor sharp it can cut into the flesh and injure Taka's opponents.
3) Shear: As an extreme measure, Taka as an ability called shear. This ability creates a column of bright white light that has a radius of 15 feet. If an enemy was caught inside this column, the light (instead of healing) was like a pool of sharp razors. It tears and shears into her enemies bodies clothes and flesh. However, this attack only lasts for about a second.

Appearance: When in bankai, Hai Sumiyaka Kangohei turns from a simple hooked spear into a large Naginata.

Background:

Rukongai

Taka was "born" into a very rich and noble family of the Soul Society. From the day she entered the Rukongai, she was destined to become a Soul Reaper... Or at least that's what her parents wanted anyway. She showed mild signs that she could be a Shinigami, food cravings and such. However, Taka never really showed any sign that she had a signifcant amount of Reiatsu needed to be accepted into the Academy. Even with this knowlege her parents had hired an expert to help train her to fight with a sword.

The training went well and for many many years, but still Taka never really seemed to gain any more reiatsu. Her parents started to get angry and a little brutal with her. They constantly yelled and or neglected her. The only one who really seemed to care at all was her instructor. Even though she was simply a hired babysitter, Taka became attached to her and thought of her as more of a mother than her actual one. This is why she continued to train with Sholan, her instructor. Sholan knew that Taka wasn't interested in the sword, perhaps why she wasn't impoving very much and took a very long time to get in a good fighting technique.

However, a few years later Taka's entire family was attacked by a group of pour souls. Taka's mother, father and Sholan all took up arms against the peasants. Taka watched in horror as her father fell in combat, his Naginata falling in front of her. She screamed, grabbed the glaive and slashed one of the peasants down with one strike. Just as she encountered another one, she was disarmed and kicked to the floor. From the corner of her eye she noticed Sholan fall to the blade of an enemy. Just in time, Taka looked back to see the sword of her enemy barreling down on her. She screamed and felt power burst from her. Something was in her hands, so she instinctively raised it to block the sword. The chain of Kangohei was holding back the blade of a stunned peasant. With a quick motion, she swung the bladed end of her weapon to kill the enemy, before standing. Taka swung her blade at the one who killed Sholan just as the peasants started running away.

Once in safety once more, she fell to her knees at Sholan's side and cried until her mother held her. But Taka could care less about her mother, all she wanted was for Taka to be a Shinigami... So she would, so she could make sure nothing would happen to anyone like Sholan. So she headed for the Academy.

Academy

Taka spent her years in the Academy learning how to use her knew weapon, focus her reiatsu and other Shinigami things. And to her own surprise it all interested her much more than she thought it would. Especially the kidou and things. She never even seen a kidou used until she entered the Academy. Still she would learn it in order to protect her comrades and the other souls. Zanjutsu was even more interesting than what Sholan was teaching her. Though she was still better at Shunpo and Kidou. However offensive Kidou she couldn't do as well as deffensive.

Taka spent her days in the Academy mostly by herself. She mostly spoke to instructors and some of the Captains/Lieutenants that came to watch the students. Not that she wasn't kind and talkative if people came to her, but she also still didn't go to people for conversation. The entire time she was in the Academy she couldn't find what she wanted to be in the Gotei, until she found Division Four. A healing division? About time, that's what she wanted to join. So when she graduated she put in an application to Division Four and was accepted into it and was quickly going up the ranks.
