The Kidoushuu is the elite group of kidou users within the Seireitei. Even though they reside within the Seireitei, they function separately of the gotei 13 most of the time (there are some exceptions from when their duties coincide with the gotei 13) and are their own division. Because of their prowess in casting kidou, members of the kidoushuu are handpicked upon graduating from the shinigami academy, although members can be selected from within the gotei 13. Also, because of their excellence in kidou, they have their own rules in terms of what they can cast for kidou.

• Head of Kidoushuu: The head or captain of kidoushuu can cast all canon kidou including the forbidden kidou, and has 7 custom kidou slots available.
  
  
  
• VC of Kidoushuu: The VC of Kidoushuu can cast all canon kidou except for forbidden kidou and have 5 custom kidou slots available.
  
  
• Squad Leaders: The squad leaders are capable of using Kidou up to 75 and have 3 custom kidou slots available.
  
  
• Squad Members of Kidoushuu: All seated members of Kidoushuu can cast all canon kidou up to level 60 and have 1 custom kidou slot available.
