Personality:

Akio is the principled, and the idealistic type. He is very conscientious and ethical, with a strong sense of right and wrong. He is always striving to improve things, but afraid of making a mistake. Well-organized, orderly and fastidious, he tries to maintain high standards, but can easily slip into being critical and perfectionist. At his best: wise, discerning, realistic and noble. Can be morally heroic.

Akio is adaptable, success-oriented type. He is self-assured and attractive. Ambitious, competent and energetic. He is diplomatic and poised, but can also be overly concerned with his image and what others think of him. At his best: self-accepting, authentic, everything he seems to be—role models who inspire others.

Akio is the introspective, romantic type. He is self-aware, sensitive, and reserved. He is emotionally honest, creative and personal, but can also be moody and self-conscious. Withholding himself from others due to feeling vulnerable and defective, he can also feel disdainful and exempt from ordinary ways of living. He constantly seeks new and exciting experiences, but can become distracted and exhausted by staying on the go. Shikai Abilities:

Although his shikai looks more like a combat zanpakuto rather than a kidou zanpakuto, it is actually a mixture of both. In shikai, Akio gains the armor and sword in the picture above to increase his defense and attack. The sword has a long reach and the arm guard can protect against any attack and will not break. However, his zanpakuto contains healing abilities that work on himself and others.

The first of his abilities is activated as soon as he releases his shikai. This ability is much like an arrancar using its resureccion. It is capable of healing all of his wounds and increasing his stamina preparing himself for a longer battle. This will give him the upper hand since the opponent will be wearing down mid-way through the battle and he will have just received a burst of energy.

The second of his abilities is his healing shield. This ability allows him to heal himself and others when in shikai. This ability takes approximately 3-4 turns to heal wounds, however. Since Aki has the arm band armor, he usually uses this ability to help out a friend when they are severely hurt. However, this will only heal exterior wounds. Any wounds made on any vital organ or broken bones, this ability will be useless.
