| It was rather cold that day, the sun has been devoured by the clouds, and it made the world seem so much, depressing, but the air had a fresh scent to it, making every body out seem new, as if their sins would be forgiven, a door closed. Soft footsteps, could be heard. She should have been in school, she didn’t feel like it today. Her hands going into her pockets, she had decided to where black pants today, with a black tight sleeved shirt. She pulled a pack of cigarettes out of her pocket, and opening the packet, and pulling out a cigarette, then a liter.
She put the cigarette to her mouth, and then the familiar sound of the liter, was heard, even through out the busy streets, and the honking cars, muttering obscene words, about the person behind them. She had inhaled, feeling the smoke take over her lungs, and she walked, before smoke came out of her nose, her hands sliding back into her pockets, like a snake. She had decided to go on a walk today.
She paused, and looked behind her, “Every day..” she muttered, before suddenly darting off into a run. She slide into an alley way, smoke leaking from the side of her mouth, as she stared at the two hollows, sleeking towards the alleyway entrance, staring at her, one charged, while the other jumped on the fence, running at her.
She nonchalantly pulled her hands behind, her and they rested on the rim of her pants, her shirt having covered them up, she took a secure grip on her guns, before pulling them out, within sequence and then shot at the hollow coming from above, with one hand, then at the one, charging at her on the ground. She inhaled.
Her shots hadn’t missed, rather just making a holes along the hollow’s back, that is had been charging at her on the ground, she rested her leg up in the air, then the hollow on the ground ran into it. Smoke left her nostrils. The hollow foolishly ran into it, falling a good five feet back, she reached her hands up, there guns fired, and the hollow that had leaped from the fence, lit was so cat-like, but she shot it beneath here it’s chin would be, it fell to the ground. She smirked and inhaled.
She felt herself be pushed back to the ground, the hit would probably break one of her ribs. She didn’t wince, and she simply brought her guns up, as the mighty hollows, claws dug into her shoulders, causing blood. She shot once, it fell to the ground. She let smoke drip out from her mouth, as she stood still, the hollow’s bodies, disappearing, after sliding to her, like a sponge would devour water. She looked up, had some one saw this? |

| A strong breeze picked up. Arku sped through the sky. He had sensed the spiritual pressure of a hollow nearby. He knew there would be a "target" for him to kill nearby. As Arku rushed high above Karakura he felt the hollow's spirit pressue vanish. Arku paused letting the cold air catch him. Another person must have slain the creature. He became curious as to who had stolen his kill. Arku jeted off to where the hollow was last sensed. Arku arrived to see a strange human woman near a fading hollow. The woman stared up dirrectly at him. The wind abruptly changes dirrections. Arku lowers onto a rooftop. "What killed that creature?" |

| Lampero Quarrez watched with fascination as he saw a human woman seem to absorb the hollow she had killed. How intriguing! Humans, both mundane and gifted, never ceased to fascinate him! It was why he loved their company so much. He would have much rather she left the things corpse for him to devour, however. He was kind of hungry, after all, but that one had looked especially delicious. He decided he wanted to know more about her.
He had already deduced that she was perceptive. She had been able to predict where her opponent would be and in what position they would best receive her flying bullets. She also had a sense of justice that had been born from her confidence, but also a wish to take in pain. The way she slid her hands to her guns, and the fact that she did not flinch spoke to that, along with her stance and posture when she opened fire. Her black attire, and style choice, also gave it away. She looked nearly like a human version of a shinigami.
The smoking was what made him suspect she wanted something subtle to be a constant reminder of something, but he couldn't place his finger on what until he got a closer look at her. She had inhaled as she began firing, but functioned as if she didn't even feel it. She had to know it would still burn and distract even the stoutest of marksmen, who normally fired their shots as they exhaled and between heartbeats to grant them the greatest accuracy and precision.
Maybe she didn't feel it... it was certainly possible, though he'd never seen a human exhibit that quality before. She might have become used to it, as he only just noticed how her lips naturally accomodated the presence of the cigarette - most humans seemed to purse their lips to keep it in place, especially when they got into an exciting encounter, but her lips didn't seem to tighten. He knew she didn't sleep much when he noticed the dark color beneath her eyes. It looked too natural to be cosmetic.
Yes, he definitely must meet her. He was well-known in this town and had many human friends. Maybe she'd seen him babysitting some of the children outside the stores while there parents shopped. Or simply walking with one of the small city's officers and talking with them - sometimes even helping out. He hadn't yet met the shinigami who had been assigned to this section of the Living World, but those overseers always had Shinigami cell phones on them, so confirmation of his identity was only a phone call away. He really hated it when misunderstandings occurred.
Calmly, he walked toward the woman. He approached in the open with a friendly smile and neutral posture, waving his hand and speaking a greeting to her. |

| Arku had been ready to strike down what killed the hollow, slowly unsheathing his zanpakutou, and the woman was the only suspect, as far as he could see. However strange a man showed up from the streets, and Arku resheathed his sword. The man approached the woman without fear as if he was aware of all the woman could do. He seemed only good willed towards her. Arku smirked at the arrival of the man. He had hidden his spiritual energy for the time, waiting to find the hollow, and continued so, but he could not hold back his curiosity. Arku jumped from the roof top and vanished from the scene silently. Using shunpo he advanced while in the Onmitsukidō he travel his needed distance in lightning speed. He took cover in a building landing gently one foot at a time where he could watch the two from a distance but not be seen. The building was across the block and abandoned. No normal eyes could see into the windows it being so dark inside. Arku did not want an escape from the situation to to test his experiment. Clearly the man was overly arrogant about his social skills. The way the man carried himself was similar to the "lover boys" of Arku's tribe. Arku gracefully brushes his banes from his face with his left hand to better see his entertainment.
" That man wears the garments of arrancar." Arku thought to himself "What bussiness could he have here?" He knew if he faced this man it could prove more difficult than imprisoning any threat he had faced before. Though, Arku was not intemidated by this, but the idea excited him. He always wanted a dangerous adversary to kill, but he had to be sure this was it. With this Arku drew his sword with his right hand and hid |

| Korey had looked up after the encounter, and she could have sworn to see someone. Pausing her eyes narrowed, and he seemed to be staring at her, she blinked and felt something run down her shirt and along her stomach, she pressed the side of her hand to it, but blinked at it, blood? Glancing to her shoulder she saw claw marks. Damnit, she felt smoke leave her nose as she let out a sigh, placing her guns away, her elbows skimming her sides as she did so, a bump…? She let out another annoyed sigh, as she felt herself lift up her shirt slightly.
A black bruise had been showing, where her ribs would be, along that was many war scars. She let out another annoyed sigh, smoke followed as she thought up a new excuse for her doctor..she…fell down the steps…again. She smirked, yeah of course that would work. She then looked back up where the man was, he had been gone. She narrowed her eyes, as her shirt fell back down covering her skin, as her hands slid back into her pockets. Where had the man gone, she knew she saw someone, she absolutely knew it. She never saw things, never…
She felt herself scowl as she inhaled, the smoke invading her insides as she tilted her head, in a quick jolt sensing someone coming to her, she could see the man, his expression was friendly, she was happy the remains of the hollows had been gone, she paused then her one hand went distinctly to the wound, she put pressure on it, as her other hand still lay next to her gun in it’s pocket. She stared at the man, she had a feeling he wasn’t human, but she shouldn’t go pointing her gun at people that was rather rude.
She paused, her coal eyes narrowing to the man. Why had he walked to this dark alley, didn’t he know it was dangerous. She glanced behind her, a dead end… she paused; the man had to have either followed her or turned the wrong direction. Her eyes narrowed to him, until they were small orbs, she paused. “It’s a dead end you know.” Dead, heh end. |

| Lampero laughed, "Yes, I do. I've lived in this town for twenty-six years. I am fascinated about how you fought that tasty-looking hollow, though, and wanted to meet you."
He kept walking until he stood only a few feet from her. He had smelled the stench of blood several meters back, but did not mention it so as not to alarm her. He also knew that it would probably be unwise to simply tell her to be at ease. Not yet. She had to divine that through her own faculties or she'd never trust him. Extending his hand, he introduced himself with a naturally charming smile.
"My name is Lampero Quarrez - don't mind the mask. You don't need to give me your name if you wish it not. Are you from around here?" |

| Arku's cell began to ring with a quick snatch in his pocket he drew his phone. He only but stay on the phone for a moment before showed a face of complete horror. Arku retreated out the building and out of Karakura town entirely. In the building a new shadow emerged silently. The shadow stood to the window Who ever the shadow was, he took off his top hat and placed it on the floor to his left side. His hands clasped together and rubbed with what must have been anticipation. A smile crossed over the face of the shadow and the identity of the shadow became clear. Slaktor stood at the window possibly interested int the human's interaction with the other being. One might assume he called Arku and arranged himself for a replacement. However, the question of "why?" remained. Truman as all knew only held interest in spiders. Why would he be interested in this. Some how spiders must have been involved. They must have been, for there was no other explanation. *OCC: quick character change... I couldn't use Arku |
